I was signed up to get notification for the set and never got the notification. And found out when it sold out. And I can’t even get through to customer service about them not notifying me. 0 out of 10 customer service experience.

Alas I wanted to get them but yeah, too late. Oh, whatever. Maybe I get it later when the hype on eBay etc. has cooled a bit or I skip it. It's just art style and design anyway.

I got on the secret lair website and added to cart the very minute it was open for sales; waited in an online queue for over an hour and it was already sold out for the Monty Python Lair. I’m a bit ticked off.

The Holy Grail SL was the first SL I had enough interest to try and buy. I did not expect a waiting queue. Once my wait was over, after entering in my purchase info, it was sold out. This was somewhere between 30 and 40 minutes after the sale opened. How aggravating that was. It has kind of turned me off of trying again if something really interests me in the future. I really don't think the read their customer base correctly (again) on this one. I do hope they print more though.

I haven't played MTG since the 90s. My 13 year old said that he wanted to learn to play. So I went to the local card shop on Saturday and asked if they could get us started. The shop sold us the Bloomburrow starter set and several Bloomburrow booster packs. Imagine my surprise when I see Bloomburrow artwork and the last I knew of MTG was the fantasy artwork from the late 90s! lol I'm thinking that MTG has turned into Redwall meets Watership Down lol!!! No worries, we took the cards home have played three games since. Just trying to learn the game at this point. My son loves the cards, the artwork, and the gameplay. I'm looking forward to buying some more booster this weekend!

A month or greater unlimited order period on secret lairs was pretty nuts. But going to limited stock instead of just going to week long unlimited order period seems like a massive screw up.

Wanted to buy MP. Couldn't get into the que. I was prepared to spend up to $200.00. I'll tell you what I am not going to do, I am NOT payin' some scalper for anything. Not happening....

I saw the email at 12:05 EST and went to wizards site, and added item to cart and checked out. It said 1 hour wait, and please have payment ready as you will only have 20 minutes to complete. I had to keep tapping phone and after 1 hour I was able to purchase and received confirmation email from wizards. I purchased the complete bundle

I got a foil sword of ice and fire. I was pretty excited.

I was in the queue for over an hour and was able to buy both volumes of Monty Python. I'm not surprised that it sold out, but I am shocked by how quickly.

I picked up vol 1 of monty thinking I'd just pick up vol 2 on ebay. Non foil 90 bucks with shipping yikes! Makes me think should I even open em 🤔

I was able to complete my purchase. I bought the Awkward Small talk Foil bundle. I knew that the Monty Python SLD would be very popular. So before they went on sale, I logged in to the Secret lair website. Then when they revealed the bundles and prices 15 or 10mins before the sale, I made sure I knew what I was getting. When the gates opened I clicked what I wanted and went straight to checkout. It was literally , cards go sale, click item , click checkout. Even then I was in a que for 30mins! Completed my purchase and got the confirmation email a few moments later.

I was not surprised at all the Monty Python secret lairs sold out so fast. I woke up early to buy mine and still had to wait in line for an hour, but I did eventually get to buy them. I was much more surprised when the Hatsune Miku secret lairs sold out so fast. I didn't think there was much overlap between Hatsune Miku fans and MTG players, but I guess I was wrong.

yeah, I didn't even stand a chance to get a set of Monty Python and I'm not about to pay the scalpers for a set.

I'm surprised anyone thought this wouldn't sell out. You would have to pay zero attention at your LGS to think otherwise. MTG players love Monty Python. Most of the cards are commander playable. (Yeah, not like high-value, but Birds of Paradise isn't getting crept any time soon.) Dismember is brilliant. Ashnod's Altar will hold solid value because of lack of other blingy options. Three Visits is playable and depicts another iconic scene. Buried alive used to be an $8usd uncommon it's so playable and is only cheap because of reprints and again, iconic scene pairing. WAKE UP IF YOU DIDN'T THINK THIS WOULD SELL OUT!!!

This wasn't my experience with the Pre-Release at all. I didnt hear anyone mention the value. It could be that MH3 had a lot of big hits and people are comparing it to. Everyone loves the set except people who don't like creature theme decks.

Small printruns at a rate that only the fattest whales can keep up with may be a good strategy. FOMO will puch people to overspend, and when you miss out on a product, you are likely to want to purchase it later, which should keep the secondary market going. This product may not be for you. How about this one then? Okay, let me know when you change your mind.

I just assume that if I'm not in line right as it launches, I'm not going to get it. I wasn't able to get a foil version of the Rovina Cai lair - I saw it mid afternoon but waited until the evening to try and buy it and it was gone. Same with the Dogs and Cats commander deck. So yea if I want something, I'm setting an alarm to be there waiting before it goes up even if I'm not sure that it'll sell out quickly. But I was positive the Monty Python stuff would go fast, everyone loves that movie.

I arrived 27 minutes before it opened, when the timer was counting. When it reached 0 I managed to get in queue for 7 minutes and bought the "Awkward Small Talk" bundle. Lucky with the home office and no meetings
