Quick question: What’s the fork on your rig? I’m from Cardiff, but live in Caernarfon… I know what hills are? lol!

As someone who creates Videos now, its mindblowing to me, that you placed the cam, cycle along, turn back, grab the cam again, and do all that back and forth filming :D Get a 360 Brother from your first monetization money :D

Hi - Enjoyable video. I remember the feeling of having that pint at The Tann Hill Inn many years ago whilst walking The Pennine Way. I like your hat - where did you get it? Cheers, Chris

The Admiral Wells is a great pub but as I can see it is not the lowest. It’s around 3M ASL according to Ordinance Survey. The lowest pub that I am aware of is “The Five All’s” in Benwick at around 1M ASL, there could be some at 0M ASL.

Can you give us the route you took? Komoot or Strava?
I thought I'd put this epic pub ride together as one long video for the people who like to watch the adventures in full. This was filmed Feb 23. As I am currently not well so am not riding at the moment, hope you will enjoy this old adventure nonetheless. As always, thanks for tuning in. see you on the trails :D

Felt your pain on a personal level after I had a tent pole break on me last month whilst doing the Second City Divide on my fat bike.. Terrible weather & didn't make Kielder. Pitched in a field, tent pole snapped & sorted of fixed it with gorilla tape only to find my tent flooded in the morning. My next incident was coming off the slopes of cross fell after over nighting at Greg's Hut. That descent was horrid like you mentioned on your 2CD video. Thick mist and rain, I somehow fell down a hole to my waist & twisted my knee. Safe to say I was getting a bit peeved off & was seriously considering bailing to Penrith & getting the train home. Glad I didn't though, you get through these moments and challenges. I also understood what you went through taking the Cam road from Bainbridge to more or less Ribblehead. I had similar conditions to you & was pretty knackered. I found a great campsite above Ingleton, freshened up, ate some food & watched the sunset. I don't get the chance to go bike packing much but when I do, It totally energises me. Watching your videos has been very helpful to me, so thank you!! Keep pedalling & escaping to wild places.

Currently, nowhere, just a prototype. Maybe in the future if I can get it the way I like it and be able to sell it for a fair price.

I think it needs time after an accident/ crash because the inner and the brain have this moments of crash. I remember the situation after a MTB crash and needed long time to ride in the forest tracks.

Using the wahoo roam up to 5 years. Wifi issues? Yes sometimes. Bike mount and charging? No problems. One very big issue...screen delamination! Up to 3 times within 5 years with the v.1. Customer service? Outstanding! Issues within warrenty and later...always a satisfy solution within a week. Using now the v.2. and hope the screen issues will be the past.

My wife and I finished this ride 2 days ago (11th July 2024). We are in our late fifties and used 2 electric gravel bike, and did it over 5 days. I downloaded the route onto my Gaia App and it worked very well. The ride itself was pretty easy and there were lots of beautiful Castles, churches and villages so it was very civilised. Unfortunately we had 3 rear - wheel punctures, which caused us a few problems (one happened during a monsoon!). Also I felt that some of the off road sections were a bit pointless. For example spending 10 miles wondering around Thetford forest was a bit boring - especially when there were quiet minor roads nearby. The 'keep smiling' guy makes a very good point about taking your bike on a train. You MUST book, as spaces are so limited (2 per train). But all in all I would recommend this route if you are looking for a nice easy tour.
