Bro this was the most comprehensive guide to build my own light, thank you for this, I learned a lot, I'll try building my own light soon, in my country led panels are waaay overpriced and I can get good quality hardware relatively cheap

Hello, i went way over my head and bought a quantum board kit without instalation manual. and i am stupid. can somebody please help me? this are the specifications. 1 HYVE dimmer 1 euro-netzkabel, male with open tinned wire. 2 wires (brown and blue). 1 meanwell XLG-150-H-AB driver. (input 100-240v - 50/60hz 2.0A. rated power 150w, defaul current 2.8A. input ACN (blue), ACL (brown), ground (green/yellow). output A, blue (dim+) white (dim-). output B, Black (Vo-), Red (Vo+). 1 meanwell driver LCP-20-700 driver. class 2 power output. input 100 - 240v - 0.55A 50%60hz. output: +30v 700mA max. input ACN (blue) ACL (brown). no ground. output: red (V+) black (v-). output has a connection box for 2-core cables. input has 2 tinned wires. 1 male euro-netzkabel, male with open tinned wire. 3 wires. brown, blue, yellow/green. 2 connection box for 3-core cables. 1 quantum board led with 2 inputs. input 1 (white light) has a 2-core connection box and pairs with the meanwell XLG-150-H-AB driver. input 2 (red light) has a 2-core connection box and pairs with the meanwell driver LCP-20-700 driver. my main problem is that i dont even have a photo of reference to build my kit. i can provide photos if necesarry. thanks in advance. me stoopid.

The most important thing to understand about LEDs is their typical NTC characteristic. The higher the self-heating, the lower the electrical resistance. If the LED were operated at a constant voltage, it would convert an ever-increasing amount of power as it warmed up. This would lead to thermal self-destruction. To prevent this, the current is regulated. The voltage across the LED drops as the temperature rises (see Ohm's law). This stabilizes the system and automatically reduces the output when it gets hot. This could have been emphasized in the video. Otherwise very well explained.

Man he really broke all that down to basics. Use 200 watt driver ad u can power 100 leds...simple. then get a heat sink bigger then what uu need. And by some of those. Cheap fans that plug into your computer..blow a. Real fan on the light that's what I dew. But this showed me how to make a 300 lead groww light. I mean think it's 1 giant cob 3 ft by 3 ft

I could only figure out that the 384 whites are divided into 6 lines of 64 leds of around 2.503 forward voltage for each LED connected in series resulting in 6 lines or strips that are connected in parallel, the question is did he use SMD resistors for each line when connected in parallel ? and were all the other leds connected in series all together regardless of their various Forward voltages because connecting them in series gives us a very close total forward voltage to the 160.2 volts to then be connected to the 6 white lines in parallel as well. MAN I can't seem to understand how to use resistors when using different color LEDs and the parallel circuit

And on the back was the power supply together with a dual pinpoint? How did you connect these pH dispensers to the device to automatically dispense pH-adjusting fluids?

Very well Ken. If I knew how to post a pic I would lol I tried a couple different ratios for both PH up and down and landed on 20:1 for both. I have a 75 gal res feeding 8 25 litre totes (ea holding approx 15 litres) RDWC. Works good but I wish there was a way to pause after a dosing to give the entire system a chance to adjust.

If someone could design and build an affordable system that doses ph up/down and ec that would be amazing. For EC you could have a target with a ratio mixture from 4 or 5 peristaltic pumps. For example if you were looking for an ec of say 1.2 it would dose the desired ratio ie 60% from peri 1, 20% peri 2, and so on. I think you have the know how to build this.
