I have been borrowing the DVD sets of the seasons from my local libraries. I love that show! I saw 40% of it while it was on the air. Now I can "fill in the blanks". All the actors on that show were excellent especially Jim Caviezel! Just saw the movie The Sound of Freedom. Great film! A real eye opener! I look forward to seeing him in future films and maybe another TV series(?)

This was one of the greatest, underrated shows to come out of the golden era of TV. The way they managed to do a deconstruction of the Batman character via Finch and Reese (ones the intelligent billionaire, the others the superhero figure), set in a cop drama in a Gotham-style city with Game of Thrones level character plots and world building, and the overarching AI theme, makes this one of the greatest works of film in my opinion. The finch/Reese and finch/nathan arcs over the first 2 seasons, then root and shaw, and ultimately the machine, and the the cautionary tale about AI throughout the whole show set it apart from the average series. This show had a vision, a purpose, and a message.

Beautifully said. There was definitely a tone and narrative shift in season 3 during the halfway point, but it’s still amazing and the stories told were just spectacular.

@@scottjohnston8016 because the story was told! I don't think there should've been endless seasons of it, they had a message, and they delivered it. I don't even want a reboot, I don't think there's more territory to cover on the show.

Remember, this was created by Jonathan Nolan, Christopher Nolan's brother who wrote most of the Dark Knight trilogy.
