Chris Cornell was definitely something else...these extraordinary chord progressions on the guitar and his divinely raspy high vocals... Incredible! Thanks for your talent. Rest in Peace

Where’s the album of this? Maybe collab with Omar Rodriguez Lopez and/or the mars Volta or not. This is awesome.

I'll never forget where I was when the news hit that he died. It felt like Mike Tyson punched me in the stomach. I called out of work, invited a friend over, and we drank and listened to Soundgarden, Audioslave, and Chris all night. I cried hard that night as if I lost a close family member. Badmotorfinger by Soundgarden and Dirt by Alice In Chains got me into music at 12 years old. Chris was in my Top 5 greatest musicians from the last 30 years list. R.i.p to him and my condolences to his friends and family, especially his young children that will grow up without him. His daughter will not have him walk her down the isle on her wedding day. Such a terrible tragedy

The skill on display to go from Belting "Black Hole Sun" and back to quietly singing "Won't you come" is incredible. Damn, shit is hard, man.

Thank you Mr. Chris Cornell. Hope you are making music on the other side as well. I wasn’t born when this song came out, but I can relate so much through his singing and the lyrics. Get goosebumps every time I hear this song or play it on the guitar.

I'm here from The Snark Tank Podcast. Chris brought up Zack de la Rocha as an incredibly hyperbolic and sarcastic jab at Sween's ability to make up good lines for a gay parody song. God, I love being alive!

Depression, a poem I wrote about it. Real depression feels like doing time, you are in a prison of your mind, to yourself you must be kind, though it’s not so easy to change, so we sigh, and we hope for better days where rays of sunshine return again and though it may be in small stages, you’ll emerge from the cages that keep you in despair, keep you ruminating, feeling shame, so keep onwalking, talking, thinking and try to find love, life’s not easy, don’t fake it and just know you can make it, believe.

i think the problem was zack was rightfully a lot more focussed on the message than the music itself; and not being able to really separate them. the others very clearly didnt have that same idea cause audioslave was pretty unpolitical and then while prophets of rage was certainly political some of the stuff they said whilst touring you wouldnt catch zack saying in a million years

Which part specifically? If you’re talking about the song it’s basically a metaphor, comparing a field worker to sugar cane.
