I shot weddings for 20 years. The timeline for that was 1974 to 1994. Most of the weddings I shot during that time were shot with a Bronica s2a and five different nikor lenses made for that camera. Yes it was a difficult camera to use for weddings but it did a beautiful job and I developed a system that made it all work including a really decent tripod that was designed for a 4x5 camera which is sturdy enough to hold the Bronica and the Metz 60 CT flash unit that I used during the formal sessions. The resultswere amazing and even though I haven't shot weddings since 1994. I still have three of the large prints I made using that camera on my walls in my family room. It was a wonderful experience and I shot just under 300 weddings during that. Using the Bronica system. I also had a total of three Bronica s2as like I said five lenses plus a sixth leaf shutter lens and even a prism finder and a Polaroid back. When I think back on that it was a great time. Unfortunately I did sell them all in the mid-2000s because I knew I would never use them again.

Hello. I just saw your video. And you did it very well. I like your camera too. I use a Canon Vi-L camera. But my Rangefinder double exposure has not smooth top and bottom edges. There is overlap. How should I fix it? But the left and right side ghosting edges are smooth. This camera model is beautiful and has a feel similar to Leica. I like very much.

Quick tip from the hot humid south. You probably already know this. If your gear is cold from being inside an air conditioned space, put it in a zip lock bag and set it outside in a protected place like a garage until it reaches outdoor temp and it will be less likely to fog up.

Nice video. Keep up the good work. Not to burst your bubble, but print film is generally very forgiving of exposure. There are examples on line of film being shot over a seven stop range (3 slow, 3 fast and one correct). Once printed, they all look virtually identical. Now slide film is a different story.

@ReimannPembroke

@@nic0264 yes! So that’s one really nice thing about using a flatbed scanner like the Epson. Most flatbed scanners have an infrared scanning capability for automatic dust removal. I used to travel to Europe on vacation every year, and i noticed all the other tourists would always be thinking about how to photograph or video everything, so they really only saw things through the viewfinder, basically looking forward to watching it all when they got home instead of seeing it when they were actually there. So i stopped taking cameras, so i could focus on BEING THERE.
@ReimannPembroke
@ReimannPembroke 29 күн бұрын
That’s definitely fair! I feel like that’s less of a problem with film cameras though. You have to be selective with your shots because you are limited on film and you can’t look at the images after you take them so you aren’t taken out of the moment too much
@itsROMPERS...
@itsROMPERS... 29 күн бұрын
@@ReimannPembroke I forgot to mention that these travels were in the 80s, so there was no digital. Still, people everywhere I went spent all their time looking at the sights through viewfinders. Cameras and recording devices destroy the experience of now because they inherently capture the past.

It's much pleasure trying out all formats and a wide range of camera types as well. Because everything analogue is'old', the prices remain moderate compared to current technology. I owned such an Olympus Pen F as shown here - 35mm half format 18/24 - got as a minimum 72 shots per 36exp roll and up to 147 exp per lford HP5/72 roll;-)) With an Olympus OM-adapter I used fine OM-Zuiko lenses with crop factor 1.4x, so with 50mm according to 70mm portrait perspective. I loved the square medium format 6x6 with Yashicamat124G, Rolleiflex SL66, Hasselblad 500 C/M, Kowa Six, and Norita (Graflex) 6x6 - the latter in design and function like an enlarged 35mm SLR camera. Handheld outdoors even the Pentax 6x7 is great, and a Makina 67 is as comfortable to use as a Leica and even just as quiet. Anyway, today I only alternate between 35mm Nikon SLRs and half-format digital Nikons - for me the most favourable way, because I can use the same Nikkor lenses on both systems and have owned them before 50 years and more; that's sustainable and economically satisfactory;-))) @philosimot
