Pokemon Platinum with cheats. You can walk through walls, so you don't have to use HM's and the legendaries events are unlocked. For me personally the best way to experience the game!

This list and this guy's opinion is dogshit, Emerald has a vastly better story in every way besides the abscene of the Delta Episode, this guy doesn't even understand the Delta Episode lore or know about post game Steven in Emerald, fucking stupid. Also, the Battle Frontier alone makes Emerald blow ORAS out of the water, no debates.

All Emerald did was take the team magma arc from Ruby and team aqua arc from Sapphire and just pasted them together like super glue with little to no chances from the ruby and sapphire games. The climax was underwhelming since all you had to do was go to see Rayquaza at a tower and have it calm down Kyogre and Groudon with no plot twist or battle whatsoever; and Just like Ruby and Sapphire, Emerald had NO falling action or resolution to neither the antagonists Archie and Maxie character development nor the story as a whole. And don't even get me started on the rivals in Emerald, Brenden/May don't even fully evolve their starters and Wally disappears from 90% of the play through as you literally only battle Wally twice (once near Mawvile City Gym and the other at the end of the Victory Road). At least ORAS fixed those issues. I will agree the battle frontier postgame in Emerald far outclasses the post games ORAS has, that's bascule the only upper hand Emerald has over ORAS.

Emerald doesn't use the battery for powering the SRAM save data. From the GBA onward, the games utilize secondary flash storage, which doesn't require electricity for data retention. The battery only powers the crystal oscillator clock for time-based events like berry growth. It's completely optional and the game can be beaten perfectly fine without it.

Infinite TM’s is weak imo. Having a limited amount made you really think about who you wanted to give it to and plan your team well. Now you can just give the tm to everyone and just have a bunch of clones

BDSP is better the QOL features such as not needing HMs and the health bar not taking 50 years to go down was enough for me to prefer the remakes to the original

I don't really like the idea of granulating the judgement into points and using topics that grant guaranteed points, if hardware capabilities are not being considered, many of the Quality of Life features can be dumped onto that quota, while Emerald is granted impossible points, means points which can't be earned by ORAS as they're a duo of games, Pokémon maintained the style of counterparts with ORAS, so giving a full fledged story point to Emerald should be judged by combining OR and AS in opposition, and QoL is a huge point as well.

To be fully honest, Ive never had issues with HM's, While I'm glad they're gone, Surf, Fly, and Stregth were all moves that were decently strong. Waterfall was a decent physical attack too. Now Cut, Rock Smash, Dive, and Rock Climb are annoying but Cut is barely needed past the early game, Dive isn't required in Gen 4 and Gen 5 and Rock Smash and Rock Climb are yes, horrible and annoying but I never had an issue alloting one spot on my pokemon for them, however I do see your point with them. (I actually think Grinding and TM's Breaking are more annoying but thats just me)

Hating HMs is just a basic, bad take. It literally ruined the next games by not having them, and being able ro have a full battle team destroyed the difficulty of the later games (on top of forced exp share, free mons, smaller enemy teams etc...). But HMs were a GOOD thing for games and we are worse off for not having them.

Bro i had totally forgotten about BDSP that’s how irrelevant the game was. I played it, i owned it, i downloaded the platinum on emulator and have been playing that and even found myself thinking, “wow this game is so good, they need to make a remake” and totally forgot about bdsp until just a moment ago 😂

I still own BDSP here and I'm still one of very few players here who dosen't hate what I play on the Switch. I never had this love for platinum when I played it years ago and I always praise and love BDSP more than Platinum and HGSS. I was never a long time fan of Platinum here. I love Fairy Types being added to my teams for the Fighting, Dragon and Dark type offense. I don't want a remake a platinum here. BDSP is bringing me as a player back to the franchise here. I gave away 1 of my copies of Shining Pearl to my yonger nephew Ethan though he seems to be more a Ipad Player despite still owning a switch tbh I've when I'm round My older Sister Joanne's house which I may remind and warn everyone she is married to my older bro-in-law Carl who's paid Job is an aircraft engineer and at her home He's a very good handyman to my older sister.

It doesn't matter to GameFreak if BD/SP had mixed reviews or if players say it was a lazy remake. It still made the company a billion dollars. As long as they keep on making them people will buy them.

remember “malice” is another retconed term changed to “gloom”. Weird how it was only called malic in BOTW and never mentioned again in TOTK. It was treated as a new thing called gloom
