Hey, Well enjoyed🙌! I'm not really sure if it is the best time to ask but, I was wondering if I could help you create a better distribution by working on post-production like better storytelling through Edits, Keywords, think catchy intros and outros, or even some engaging short clips! Would love to chat if you're interested and keep creating good content:)

No way this works. If the contacts aren't corroded and making contact, you essentially did nothing. I have a rapid charger that's only charged a battery maybe 10 times. It seems to be killing batteries. Impossible it's going to fix that

If you’re covering that up with sheet rock, what’s the point of leaving the lathe and not taking it down to the studs?
@thelonelandlord17 күн бұрын
For what I needed, it was easier to throw a sheet of 3/8” drywall over the lath and skim coat. Less demo and easier to match thickness. Could easily take an oscillating tool to the lath though after this and remove that as well.

This happened to our wood door frame because someone tried to push the storm door shut while it was being held open. How do you actually fix the wood though? I can't prop open the door without being unable to unlock and close it again
@thelonelandlord19 күн бұрын
Best option (other than replacing the entry door) is to cut out the damaged section of door jamb and use a dutchman repair.

I would not run irrigation through this device. Irrigation should be teed off before this device. The biggest point of this device is detecting a pipe burst or catastrophic water event. It can’t accurately detect that when irrigation is running because irrational uses high gallonage.
@thelonelandlord24 күн бұрын
100% accurate
@Dc-jg2ti5 күн бұрын
False. This device should be intended to detect excessive water usage due to a leak to prevent a $5k water bill. Water damage is not the only thing being prevented here

Okay. I have to be honest as I didn't think this would ever work. I have the three Bay Milwaukee rapid charger. All of a sudden 1 bay (both 18v and 12v) stopped working. I thought it had to be an electrical issue inside the charger. I was certain of it because it's never been anywhere but inside the house so I figured how the heck can it be dirty! After careful inspection of the terminals they did not look dirty at all! I figured what the heck it can't hurt to do a simple spray and clean and it's way easier and quicker than taking the unit apart and start probing with the multimeter! I didn't have electric terminal cleaner so I used carb/choke/parts cleaner.... Do NOT do this as it reacts with the plastic and discolors it and kind of "melts" it! Anyhow, it DID WORK! Something so simple as clean the already "clean" terminals! Thank you for the video!

Looking at getting one of these but concerned about sprinklers. Apparently, Moen also makes a sprinkler controller that can talk to the shutoff valve to let it know its ok. Would be interesting to hear people's experiences with this.

I'm going to buy one now what perfect timing! Thank you!
@ericnewton5720Ай бұрын
You wouldn’t ever want the Flo unit to be behind the irrigation branch. It would never be able to accurately determine an actual pipe break or if the sprinklers are running. Flo is perfectly installed after any irrigation branch and IMO after any water softener because of its regen cycle.

Is there a way to check whether or not i have enough open area for this thing to work before I commit to the purchase? Video was very good. I've also seen a unit (mower) that does not require the RTK module.

not that I'm aware of but this is a great question & would be a good feature. The new version (Luba 2) is advertised as being able to use its optical camera to help make up for any lags or problems with satellite signal

Great video. I used this Milwaukee cut-off tool using the diamond tile blade, to cut around 18mm thick solid plaster on brick, after rain ingress on a chimney breast. Used a multi-tool with a SMART Multi Cutter Mortar Buster Blade 32mm for the internal corners and ends of cuts. Plaster was then cut out with SDS plus crank shank chisel and a brick bolster. George vacuum connected to Milwaukee didn't suck up all the dust. Still lots of cleaning up to do. Thanks for sharing.

how does it know the difference between a burst pipe or simply filling your bathtub with 30 gallons of water
@thelonelandlord3 ай бұрын
Adaptive learning… it begins to learn your fixtures and how long you typically run them & at what GPM rate. This does result in some false alarms especially early on until it learns. It gives you a 5 minute warning before shutting off if it detects excessive water usage… It’s not gonna catch a burst pipe immediately. The goal is to prevent hours of water damage…

What you called the extra extension piece is what you use to measure where to cut the main pipe so the unit fits snug when installed

Can you tell me what the output from the power transformers is? My hope is that I can put this on the outer edge of my lawn and power it off of a large solar and battery directly with 12vdc rather than having to put in an inverter to increase voltage to 120 and then bring the voltage back.

good question I believe as long as the RTK has a clear view of the sky it should be adequate however their original manual suggests a distance of 5m away from large metal objects

How does the Moen FLO know the difference between a suspected leak and say, the use of the garden hose outside to wash your car or water your lawn?
@thelonelandlord5 ай бұрын
Good question- long uses of water can initially fool it into a leak, but it eventually learns as long as you interact with the app. If it notices a large amount of water usage, it will send you a warning that it will shut off the valve in 5 minutes. If you clear the warning, it will ask what type of event caused this usage and will adjust. We had this happen on long showers early on.
