Ho can I make it jump if it is stick to ground it does not go air born at all and if remove the ground detection I cannot make it to run on the ground. I'm really stuck here. Please create an updated tutorial.

When I add it in (of course after naming everything properly) it takes the tires and spreads them out and the armature for the wheels and brakes are super small, any idea what I could be messing up?

Hi. I cannot baje steering and wheel spinning in blender 3.5. I get a message that says it doesn't find some sort of a brush?? very frustrating when everything else is set...

nice work there very useful :) i have an issue when i bake my animation for sterring wheel. first it say :-- Tool 'builtin_brush.Draw' not found for space 'VIEW_3D' -- and deleted my key on follow path , so i have no more animation. i m in 3.5 maybe it's the problem. Any idea to make it work ?

there i'm waiting for the action you take for binding the model to the rig. i watched it 5 times and then i just tried and noticed that it binds it when actually just adding the rig... hahaha absolutely great!! very nice quick way to rig a car... perfect for my use case.. thank you so much!! The only thing that might be useful is maybe listing the naming conventions for auto-binding in the n-panel below the "generate"-rig button.. something like: CarName.Body CarName.Wheel.Ft/Bk.L/R(.001) CarName.Brake.Ft/Bk.L/R(.001) This way we wouldn't have to go back to youtube again to find out how the names of the car parts were ;)

you didnt folow the exact name convention ....on the bones was " - " and you put a " . " ...that is not the same :)) ...and second ...if we get any car on sketchfab will be splited in milion parts so therefore we canot folow this tutorial ....(this car you presented is a already prepared car for examples ....if we want any other car this tutorial it canot be folowed sience every wheel will have like 10 parts or the body will have hundreds of parts ......as i told before on other tutorial you all should start with showing us how to put togheder the parts (to have like in the video 5 parts body+4 wheels ) then start this tutorial as it is :l ... Is a good explained tutorial but incomplette sience we missing the starting part !

This is extremely cool and useful. But I wonder about creating such a rig from scratch myself. There are bones I can't select and edit. I van only select them in the items menu on the top-right. And there I see MCH Bones and stuff. I get that it's a lot of bones if they were visible in the viewport and are just some sort of helper bones. But how do I do that? Doesn't seem to be IK?

In blender 3.4, baking the car wheels / steering does not work. Followed the pinned comment but it has not worked either. Instead, pressing the bake button just removes the keyframes I had put in the Follow Path Offset Factor in the Bone Constraints tab. This addon's really nice regardless.

When I generate the rig, everything works except the drift handle. It doesn't move.

Can you make it, so the wheels move/turn when using bigger wheels? (I can't scale down the wheel or the materials will be messed up, the models that Im using are from mecabricks ( The Armature rotates the wheels as if, the wheels origin point is not at the center of geometry)

Hi, Love your tutorials. I have a question though. Is it possible to have the 'suspension' bone follow a path constraint too? (the gismo on the roof of the car) For some reason I can't get this to work. I would use it to kind of muffle the suspension when driving off-road. The tires would stick to the ground, while the body is moving more natural up and down. It would make it easier to use a Nurbspath to 'animate' the suspension of the car (the movement of the body of the car) while driving whith high speed on uneven terrain. Tnx in advance 🙂
