Is Mark still with us? Last I heard he was asking fans to send him money for his 3rd-world-country experiental AIDS medicine. Were they compensated in bottled water? This looks pretty low-budget and sketchy.

Dee Wallace is one of my favorite actresses ever!!!! Stephen King loved her so much in Cujo, he was pissed she wasn't Oscar nominated! Her performance in that movie is his favorite out of all of his books adapted to films, even more so than Kathy Bates in Misery!

if they did another nightmare on elm street -- i would like to see Freddy take on Art the Clown from the Terrifier series -- that would be absolutely sickening -- i can't imagine who would be more evil and twisted if they ever got together -- now that would be something - but you need to bring the heroines back from the series to for the ultimate face off --

I thought Nightmare 3 was the best of the franchise -- it was scary but not gory -- the 1st one was too gory for me -- but this one had substance -- you felt for the characters -- the kills were not scary by today's standards but did get the reaction - plus Freddy was being Freddy -- it had a bit of everything -- i think when Nancy died you thought perhaps the series was ending but it never really ended --

if i am not mistaken heather and brooke both starred in the TV series Just the 10 of Us on ABC - it didn't fare to well -- but its funny they played sisters on the show and then became Freddy's victims

At the time I watched this movie I didn't understand the gay subtext thing at all but I thought the movie was weird, funny, not like typical Nightmare on Elm Street but still very entertaining. I don't know why this movie still gets so much sh-. It's just a fun ride.

a moment like this I think you meant. Great video. Wish I heard less about race, gender, sexuality, etc and more about the movie. And I'm gay. I have to say that before I'm attacked. It's like the race card.

I never cared much for part 2 but I will admit that it was kinda the last time Freddy was genuinely "scary", before he became "Cap'n Hook" Freddy. He was still threatening in part 3, but in "Freddy's Revenge" scary as hell.😆

I have long thought that Nightmare 2 was the route they should’ve pursued in further sequels: Totally separate stories, with Freddy as the only recurring character, exploring different personal issues and vices in the underside of American suburban life.

Love seeing them both but Mark has a habit of dramatizing his experience with the film and talking crap about Wes and a few others. For 1- Get over it! Crap unfortunately happens and the bad experience happened decades ago. For 2- Wes ignored the second film because he disliked the fact they ignored all the rules he had set for Freddy which is he’s in the dream world, not running around killing kids at a BBQ. For 3- I myself thought the second film was awesome and although Mark may think they exclude part 2, they really do not. Freddy attempts to possess a couple of others within the franchise. One notably is in Freddy vs Jason. 4- just stop whining and making drama whereas there shouldn’t be and be thankful to answer fan questions.

I agree about Craven why would he like part 2 it totally changes everything about his creation from the first film. Another thing though is that Mark is obviously gay he blames the script for making him seem gay on screen but truthfully anyone watching the movie can tell that Mark is gay just from how he talks in his voice.

everyone always asks the question "was Robert Englund scary", to just about every other actor in the movies. The thing is, though, he wasn't scary to them because they knew what he was like in real life, and they knew it was all make-believe. As the audience, however, we don't see Robert Englund, we see Freddy Krueger, so it's harder for us to grasp the concept that there is a decent and kind person behind such an evil character. Of coarse, most evil villains are played by the loveliest people.
