Is there any maximum amount of time for holding the baby in upright position? Any issue with spine development?

He seems like a nice guy and a good dad, and his baby is adorable, but I'm sorry - properly holding a baby isn't exactly rocket science. One hand under baby's bottom and the other supporting the head. Really easy.

Baby them up too much you create a narcissistic generation. Also not telling a child a "no" or telling them theyve done something wrong and then almost being apologetic for that is not good. Just like when they play on a non competitive church basketball team they learn that everyone wins. Well that's not the real world. You want kids to know how to win and loose gracefully. Also telling Jimmy what you did was wrong & you have the power to make good choices VS Jimmy you put a firecracker under the cat that was a bad choice but you are a good person. Also part of being a good parent is knowing when to allow them to figure out things on their own and when to step in. Studies show that kids who always have to have positive reinforcement didn't do so well when it was time for them to be independent. However those who were better at positive self reinforcement did much better because its inward that the reward is most rewarding. A good parent can say no without feeling guilty, establish rules that fit your situation, and one that i agree with him when you just know you have done wrong by your kids or in front of your child talk about it, admit what you did ( teaches them accountability and not to be afraid) and apologize but DON'T make promises afterward because you cause a bigger problem if you don't or can no longer live up to that.

In intro baby's hands shouldn't be wide open but together, it's like that in babyhandling practice. Also, there is no need to provide a support for the lower body at example no.1, just hold your baby at her upper torso and a little bit higher on your chest. Also, for babies that aren't sitting on their own position no. 2 is so wrong because it's making a pressure on the pelvis. May some pediatrician or a physio correct me.

If they don’t burp, they vomit isn’t?
@DadGoodOfficial
@DadGoodOfficial Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the question! Your baby will not necessarily spit up if she doesn’t burp. It depends on how much air she takes in during feeding. Breast feeding leads to less air being ingested than bottle feeding, but every baby is different. My first two kids needed to burp or they were uncomfortable, and they both spit up regularly. However, my third child rarely burped and almost never spit up. All three were primarily bottle fed. Hope this helps!
