Reloading journal 1. How did I miss this ? I load predominantly. 233. I have been Reloading since 1976. Back then it was .38, .357, .41 mag and .44 mag. Now it's mostly rifle ammo. I sure wish you would have been around back then. I had no mentor or experienced friend to help me out. I have learned a lot since then. I do enjoy your videos.

Old video I know, but I'm barely finding this. Is match rifle pretty temp stable or is it very sensitive?

44.7 grains H4895, 44.6 grains n140, Varget. 168 grain hpbt. Keep it under 2600 fps and you won't bend or stress your op rod because they are expensive. Medium burn rate powders. I use the Hornady manual and have excellent results. The military brass is thicker, so you might want to reduce your charge by a grain.

**Right now I'm making my AR 300 blackout cycle with only 8.0 grains of powder and 150 grain bullets with pretty quiet results!!! you just have to know your guns, powders and bullets !!! and I only been doing this for about 2 to 3 weeks Max and i already pretty much seen it all and these guys that have been doing it for years I noticed that they only work with 190, 200, 220 Grn bullets and above and with pretty much the same results!!!🙄🙄

Johnny, Boy great video except for number 10 flyer, I have been shooting the Superformace Varmint Hornady .50gr and getting 3970 FPS, an the groups are almost one hole @ 100yds, at 300yds I shot a .35 group. So fast and so accurate, do have a photo of the group @ 300. Do you have any idea of what H could be using in their boxes right off the shelf? 24" heavy barrel on a B-14 Bergara , sure like some input from you. This stuff is amazing, and your video was very use full about the H 380👍👍👍👍

I tend towards the notion that something is going on with that scope. Those groups just do not make sense. Out of all the primer testing I’ve performed with both small and large primers in handguns and rifles I’ve never seen such dramatic differences in group sizes. I’ve never used br or 450 or s&b. I’ve only ever used Winchester-wlr, wsr, - federal-200,&205 - cci 200,&400. I’ve seen some cartridge/rifle combinations that definitely preferred certain primers but I’ve never seen more than an inch in group size from primer variance in a given load at 100 yards. Hmm? Did you ever get it sorted out?

I got my first printer on Father’s Day of this year. The kobra 2 neo, worked right out of the box after assembly. I stare at it for long periods of time while it’s going. So satisfying to watch

Wow! I just Independently did some very similar testing of CFE-BLK and Shooters World Blackout, with very similar results. I started just under recommended start load for supers and worked backwards in .5 grain increments. With my suppressed 11.5" barrel I reached subsonic at 12.5 grains of CFE-BLK and functioned the action perfectly all the way down to 10.5 where I stopped. Accuracy was much better for me though. I was using 168 grain HPBT I purchased in (blem) bulk from Midsouth Shooters.

Good content sir thank you. I picked up 100ct .224 70gr RDF at Nosler today I will try these in a 16" RH 1:8 5 groove with a Wylde chamber. I spent some time with a Nosler tech regarding this bullet in a AR platform these should work well with 1.750" brass for a COAL of 2.255-2.260". I have Varget, IMR 8208, Accurate 2495 and H-4895 to try with these bullets. my RCBS and Hornady seating dies will work with this Ogive. I hope you get a chance to try Accurate 2495 with similar weight bullets, I like IMR 8208 but it is hard to find in my parts.

Im confused, you reloaded some M855A1 bullets but only shot the 62gr Hornady bullets? I thought you were testing the M855A1 bullets. The first set ejection were spitting the cases forward which means overgassing.

Currently in 2024 I bought a bag of Starline Creedmoor brass for 46 bucks with my Cabelas 10% discount. Now my 300 Rum annealing is definitely worth it as a box of 20 Hornady brass is 70 bucks

King of stupid ideas. Dump some black powder down the barrel and send it. Hopefully the pressure will be enough to pop it. lol 😂

Pressure signs in a shotgun are a black face and a banana barrel…there may be cartoon harp playing angels around your head. I’m just getting into reloading and I’m having all of the catch 22 questions that you raised in this video. I wonder if all the conflicting info and over complications are a result of the litigious society we live in. Thank God most things were invented a 100 years ago, because nothing would be invented under todays’ health and safety regulations…not to mention the extortionate insurance requirements. I think the best rule of thumb is to give the first 10 new loads to friends and family to shoot, and if they're okay, then carry on with loading for yourself. Excellent video! Cheers.

I have one and yes the die blocks suck. I have a full size die installed in the press for my 223 cases and I don't move/replace it so it works well. I have a Hornady Iron press for depriming & seating my cases. Overall I'm ok with two presses.
