Just make less stupidly big cars. This whole pickup and full size SUV trend is so backwards. Needing cameras to see what's in front of your bumper should have been a serious wake-up call. Instead, they're just getting bigger, heavier, and taller. Also Americans: Cost of living and gas prices are too high. /facepalm

I really wish that Toyota had airbags when I was involved in a horrible car accident in 87. My car was only 30 days old when I was “T” boned by a full sized Chevy pickup. It was a very freak accident. The truck was air borne and coming down when the Chevy “bow tie” in the center of the grill hit the “A” pillar of my car where the “A” pillar is attached to the door and fender. The truck that hit me was only 45 days old. Both vehicles were totaled. When I got stopped my car was against the “K” rail (cement barricade between the East and West bound lanes of the freeway). I was against my door, my passenger was against me and his door was against his ribs. I crushed a vertebrae and had to learn how to walk again. It was 3 weeks before my 22nd birthday. My friend was SCREAMING (we saw the truck coming). The man that hit us was a retired State Police officer. The kid that caused the accident saw what he had done so he got on the on-ramp and waited for the police and ambulance.

If you fasten your seatbelt more tight to reduce slack in webbing, it will be same result as pretensioner.😊

Guys who comment that you drive light small cars, do not worry: passive safety only one part of safety. There is also an "active safety" where small more agile cars behave better: better braking, better steering, better visibility, etc

And people still swear that a big vehicle is always safer than a smaller vehicle! They don't look at crash tests, apparently...

People buying these vehicle aren't thinking about crash test ratings. They're too busy flexing for their neighbors.

The video title should be something like "Modern SUVs and Pickups pose less risk to people in crashes than older ones" The current video title implies that they pose less risk than other vehicle types which is not the case.

People when their massive roll-happy ego boosters with no passenger cage, no rollover protection, and no overlap protection aren't actually built for safety and are instead built for boosting egos

Doesn't surprise me the Chevy gets Poor headlight performance. I absolutely hate being around a new Tahoe or Escalade at night. Terrible light scatter and glare. I rented one recently and lemme say the visibility inside is a joke when there's that much glare. Cars with glass headlights from the 50s do better.
