Koba had a point but he should have stuck with his brother and went about it another way .. I understand KoBa's anger for sure‼️

As brilliantly evil and intelligent as Koba is, this is the scene that made me realise he may have a point. One of the best villains in recent memory

I wonder if Koba would have betrayed Caesar if Caesar had shown him a little more empathy here. The way Caesar asserts his dominance and slaps his hand away disdainfully kind of gives the impression that he doesn't care about Koba's feelings or traumas. Koba felt trivialized, and that might have led to his resentment boiling over to betrayal. I wonder if Caesar had just communicated something like "I know what you have endured. Every time I see your face I know the pain humans can cause. That is why I do not want war. We all need to work together to do what's right for everyone" I wonder if that would have been enough to keep Koba from rebelling. I feel really bad for Koba. As much as he was hateful and selfish, he was a product of the trauma inflicted on him, and I think all he really wanted was for his pain to be seen and acknowledged. Like, I know it's a movie, and the decisions and motivations of these apes are all just made up, so the truth is whatever Matt Reeves wants it to be, but I still wonder.

I like the part of this scene when Koba was gesturing when he was saying " HUMAN WORK" like "Caesar, I'm not hearing you correctly. You said"human work?" pissing off Caesar in the process...🤣🤣🤣

Caesar and Koba are like two sides of a coin. Caesar who grew up with humans and was happy and joyful whilst Koba was tortured by humans for many years and was filled with hate

I love how, even though Koba backed down here, the way Caesar won the argument (an outright display of dominance/bullying rather than actually answering Koba's disrespectfully-expressed but reasonable points) pretty much guarantees that Koba comes back harder later on. Caesar's son later being so easily swayed by Koba would likely have been avoided if the debate had been resolved as a debate rather than a threat display.

A part of Kobas breaking point was Cesars fault, he never tried to understand Koba , he instead attacked him and repelled him , no wonder he betrayed him , he betrayed him first.

Koba is trying to convince Caesar to know the meaning how humans came from apes and seeing how they are treating his kind and using them for their science and Caesar is putting himself in harms way by trusting a human and putting his family in danger and himself to by doing so

I love how this film made us be capable of seeing the point of view from both sides Caesar doesn’t want conflict with the humans and just wants an environment that keeps Apes safe and humans out of there habitat Koba knows that humans could attack them whenever they want and knows that they could care less about how they treat apes But to be fair in the end Koba was more dictating than caring

Koba was born in an unnamed primate research facility, where he lived with his mother and their caregiver, Mary, who taught them Sign Language. When Koba was still young, his mother died defending him from an abusive, alcoholic handler named Roger. As a result of this incident, the facility's project funding was cut and Koba was sold to Tommy, an abusive TV producer. Tommy made Koba and his new chimpanzee friend, Milo, part of his TV how, Monkey of the House, and would or beat them whenever they displeased him. When Koba finally tried to defend himself from Tommy's abuse, Tommy punished the bonobo by scarring his face with a knife and blinding his eye with a lit cigarette. After Tommy committed suicide due to his show being cancelled, Koba and Milo attempted to escape, only to be captured and separated by animal control officers. Koba then became a laboratory test subject, and eventually et Steven Jacobs, whom he swore revenge on after the man repeatedly mocked him as an unintelligent animal. That was his life-story before Rise and that's why he hates "Human Work".
