❤❤❤ bravissima. Have piacevole moments. I love expressionism of Schoenberg. I am diqi from Java island in Indonesia. I also make some simple songs for Mezzo Soprano and String Quartet. I was much inspired by the gorgeous music of Arnold Schoenberg String Quartet No 2. I wish i can send it to you. I hope you like it and like to perform it too. May i know your email? Merci beacoup.

I never understand why people in general don't take the chance to eg drop right down before the crescendo up the E string, to make it so much more dramatic, and generally elsewhere. Fabulous playing BTW 🙂

One eighth-note pickup into rehearsal A you played an A-flat. Are you playing a different edition?

I never played 2vl part and now I need to learn this asap so I slowed this video down to 0.5 speed, zoomed in and written down all of the fingerings and bowings even before trying to play it 😁 thank you for your tremendous help! ♥️

This video was sponsored by (fill in the blank) crisps 😂 Wonderful demonstration and I love the way you describe “joining the party, so to speak”. Relaxing, activating the fingers of the right hand and using the bow to do the work. Control and lightness rather than rushing. It is a joy to listen and see you play! Beautiful playing…thank you for all your advice.

It would help if you would keep it more in tempo. Also, when you are going for the harmonics on the E and the A, save quite a bit of bow so you can have enough room to actually make that note sound because it's weak. You really want to knock it out of the ballpark. Only the one on the a can trail off, but that e needs to be a zinger. Many people actually give it a separate bow just for that slide to the harmonic and it is always up bow if you do it. But the biggest thing is you're stretching it out of tempo and you're not waiting and counting the rests as it would be if you were performing it. When you're doing an excerpt, the orchestra audition committee wants to hear that you are going to come in at the right time. If you ignore the rests, it looks like you don't know the piece or you don't think the rests are important. You have to wait for the low brass to finish playing.

Hot violist alert! Executive plot summary: A dude and his bae be walking in the woods alone at night. The bae says “I gets good news and bad news. Good news: I’m preggers. Bad news, it ain’t yours.” Dude says “Boy Howdy!” Bae says “So you tossing me out?” Dude says “Nah. Let’s go home get drunk and screw.” Bae says “Cool”. That’s pretty much it.
