I never cared much about auto focus speed. To make it even worse for some of you, I hate Sony cameras.

It's literally my favorite lens for video... And also the least expensive lens I've ever purchased. Lens flare is epic. Build is solid 🙌🏼

I do not shoot video, but I can tell you that the Viltrox 75mm f1.2 & the Viltrox 27mm f1.2 have not disappointed me for still photography. They offer fantastic build quality & produce excellent images. These 2 Viltrox lenses rival some Canon “L” lenses for the images that they produce. I am a retired photographer & shot with Canon products for nearly 40 years.

The release timing of xh1, followed quickly by xt3 release, makes it an inevitable “failure” then.

i've heard some negative feedback on this because its shutter button is too light so it's hard for the user to know when the camera is focusing or has taken a picture... Im new to this hobby and want to focus on photography, im dabating between choosing the xh1 and xt3, maybe a bit toward the XH1 bc it's cheaper, ill have more money to buy lens but that feedback makes me quite concerned, can you give me any advice, thanks !

And what camera did you choose? I'm in the same situation (xh1 vs xt3).

You should be able to adapt to the shutter release button. Wouldn’t let that deter you from this amazing camera, especially at its current price point.

Great video. The XT2 is still a great camera in 2023, and I use it as my main back up photography camera, but actually it's still fine for video too. You guys must be the most beautiful couple on KZfaq.

Sony and Panasonic are NOT camera or film manufacturers FUJI is. If I want a HIFI then I will buy Sony or Panasonic but for a camera then I will buy FUJI - enough said!

One thing I notice after watching different youtubers review this lens, those who were given a copy from Viltrox have definitely sharper and better build quality. Those who bought the lens with their own money tho, definitely have noticeable fringing, slightly softer, and some build quality issues (where the aperture is dented and focus failing altogether.) where they have to send back the lens for service, telling they were writing a review for the lens. They were sent with a new copy, all working good. But I doubt if their requests will be handled pleasantly if they did not say that they are writing a review. So there might be something fishy. Viltrox might be refining the copies they present to the content creators, while the production copies have a little lousy quality control.

Very much appreciated. My buddy has the fast Fuji and is snooty about it. Yet I have NEVER seen a single photo he's taken with it. When you were comparing auto focus, I wonder if or how it changes depending on your f stop..Regarding your end rant to Fuji for video lenses...don't forget Fuji makes cinema lenses....

I have the Viltrox 23mm/13mm and this one 56mm . The 23mm is one of their best and 13mm is their perfect lens even better than 16mm Fuji Primes . This 56mm has a lot purple fringing that already corrected by the newest updates! Though it still there. Lens flare is also an issues with their glass , so you have to be very careful when shooting directly on sunlight. It is sharp and bokeh is almost the same with Fuji, the only way to find difference between each photos taken by Fuji and Viltrox is by putting it side by side! For the price and quality I say , you can never go wrong with Viltrox lens!

Newer cameras are ridic small. Not sure what they're going for, but mirrorless adoption has been abysmal, and maybe being sold a miniature toy factors into it.

From watching this and a couple other videos about the XT3, I believe I found Fuji’s weakness: AUTOEXPOSURE. There are harsh and sudden flickers that happen throughout the shots of the XT3. Autoexposure is just not gradual like that of Sony and Nikon. So Fuji, if you can see this, it would be great if there is a firmware update to fix that… other than that, I wouldn’t think about buying any other camera brand.

Remember, you can NEVER really turn the IBIS off on XH1; IS OFF just turns off the active stabilization but the motors for the IBIS/sensor assembly always seem to be running hence the constant humming noise!

Headshots don't tell the whole story. In long shots the difference in object isolation becomes probably more visible. Nevertheless the viltrox seems to be a good lens.
