Just bought an unpolished 7019 with Arabic datewheel that needs a service. Looks like the 7019 is basically the same 7009 but with 21 jewels. Any benefit to having 21 jewels instead of 17? Does it enhance longevity? Great video btw!

thanks. fascinating and informative. Invicta surprise. I'll have to let my brother in law know he can wear his sub homage around me without and threat of ridicule.

I bought my first Invicta Pro Diver over 20 years ago, before they switched over to the NH35A movement. The older movement did not have a hack feature, and the bracelet did indeed fall off my wrist when the pins slipped out. Nevertheless, that watch ran great until just a couple of months ago. When they came out with the NH35A movement I added several more ProDivers to my collection. I will not compare them to my Omega watches, it wouldn't be fair, but I will say that with a timegrapher and patience I got most of my ProDivers down to a beat error of 0.2 milliseconds or less, and depending on the position, about +2 seconds per day. I think that if these movements had a swans neck, one could regulate them much more easily and quickly, but if you are patient, you can get there. I like each one of these watches MUCH better than the <$100 I had to pay for them. I myself (one of those with an engineering degree) tend to be fussy about timekeeping and timepieces, so I use the hacking feature a LOT, and use a radio controlled clock as a reference. Everyone needs hobbies, right? 😁

what about them?, they are quartz, they look great with a Bond Nato strap on them depending on color matching, they're $50 or so and have a 200M water resistance, you don't have to wind them, and the lume is probably better than many of the invictas, seems a great value. I have Invicta's and Casios and a couple other brands that are not relevant to this video or your question, but typically quartz/vs auto is the first decision point in a watch choice if you're buying a new watch. either can be ok for you. Sometimes I want to wear a heftier chunk of machinery on my wrist, sometimes I want to feel I have the tool to destroy Bloefeld, and sometimes maybe I want to be Jacques Cousteau. you do you!

I owned one, but sold it; despite I liked it. Bought it for £55 and managed to sell it for £75 😅 The problem what I had with it - it's a Rolex clone; you can't even call it an homage. I had a GMT Master, and next to each other, they were basically identical; and I dislike that; also don't fancy to get jumped or stabbed by some idiots thinking it's the real deal - because stuff like this happened here in the UK. My daily beater is the 'new' Bulova GMT. I don't own Rolex anymore, downsized my collection to my favorite watches, and the 2 expensive pieces are a Omega and a Tag Heuer, the rest is Bulova, Seiko, Citizen.

The guy likes machines, it's like a gun owner that buys the new gun, takes it all apart, oils it and puts it back together. Similar with this guy, now he knows it's well-oiled and set up to function. plus maybe he wanted to show us what and where Invicta went cheap on the movement. I mean plastic parts, lever springs, hidden machining marks. Things that owners may want to know to feel smug about (or not) "Damn Invicta's don't use real coil springs, That I hate!" (some might say) there is hate on Invicta, for some reason, fusion crystal vs safire, no more yellow rotors, gaudy styles, fake as F pricing.

Considering the very low price of these watches, I can't see bothering with servicing them. Would it not be cheaper just to buy another new one once it has actually failed due to lubricants drying up? Naturally, you would want to service an 8000 dollar Rolex...a 60 buck Invicta...I can't see it. As a side note, my Invicta pro diver 8928OB was bought on a black Friday sale in 2022 for $29.60 plus $2.07 tax U.S. It is still running strong. My only regret is that I only bought one at that price. Really...$31.67 for an automatic with an NH35A Seiko movement is a no brainer. I can't remember if it was limited how many I could buy, but if not, I should have bought at least 5 of them.

if you went with black or blue, this seems reasonable, i have a couple of older Invictas that are not in the current rotation, so If I wanted to keep those styles on my wrist, I think I would just by another NH35 movement, as that might be more cost effective just to swap out, rather than have someone work like this guy did on disassembly and reassembly. but they're prob going to continue to work for most of the rest of my life, so i'm not too worried about crossing the Invicta maintenance bridge.

The Pro Diver that I have has a Miyota movement. My cardiologist has one that has an ETA movement. I didn't know such an animal existed. He took it off his wrist and showed it to me. It also had a very high quality bracelet unlike the typical Pro Diver. I have maybe 70 watches in my collection including a Rolex. The 8926 is quite a good watch for the price.
