hey graham just wanted to know is it possible to be sub20 without learning any floating?? great solve btw
@GrahamSiggins2 күн бұрын
to answer this question, just consider the fact that full floating saves probably less than 1 second globally, and there are multiple people who average 15 seconds or better lmao

@@Rasmus_Aune to get a case specifically like this where it is literally just the pure corner 2swap and also UF UR is the optimal swap for number of edge algs, probably fairly rare, i would guess like 1 in 30 or 40?

@GrahamSiggins5 күн бұрын
The AC was a bit cold in the room, but I know 99% of the time that's totally out of control of the comp organizers, so whatever. Better than it being too hot. I think my only complaint thats actually in control of staff is that they didn't know they were supposed to everybody's scrambled cubes into "as square as possible" arrangements. My 64 cubes on attempt 1 were arranged as 7x9 + 1 cube lol. Most other attempts with similarly wrong presentations. We all mentioned this to staff, they kindly fixed it and then didn't make that mistake for the second attempt, so really no issues in general. Tables were big and against walls, the room was quiet, no staff interruptions, started on time both attempts, etc. There was one weird incident where someone had a device that went off with a little jingle like 3 separate times during my memo on attempt 1. Not sure what that was, but it was a bit distracting. You can hear it in the full unedited video of my attempt linked in the description, i think in the first like 10-15 minutes of memo

i found the aforementioned weird nose in my full video at 9:48 and 20:45, couldnt find a third time, could be imagining that haha

It's public information they only use 2 digits to store the amount of cubes someone does in mbld. So please, someday you gotta go to a comp, bring 100 cubes and solve at least 50 (so that it's not dnf) to see how glitchy the result ends up.
