Very nice to listen to this wonderful music, I like the technique of the soprano girl. She is the most leading instrument of the parts. Bravo

Wow! Recorders should really be a part of normal orchestras. Whenever someone actually knows how to play one, it sounds so cool!
@doginabox96212 жыл бұрын
Sadly, the general (romantic) orchestra have instruments that are way louder than the recorder thus we get drowned out unless the music is designed for a recorder solo (even then, the soloist sometimes gets drown out). The good news is that baroque and early music ensembles exist and that’s where the recorder shines. It also has a place in contemporary music, although it may not be your cup of tea. Right now recorder makers and players have been designing ‘modern’ recorders that are capable of blending with the orchestra and getting louder. These modern recorders also offer a lot more freedom in recorder playing (check out, helder and Eagle recorders!) Sorry for rambling, I hope you found it interesting!

What you say is interesting. I have been listening to Bach cantatas and love the way he uses the recorder in his orchestrations.@@doginabox9621

I do so like Gustav Holst's 'Second Suite' as its structure suits a recorder ensemble very well.

1 & 4 are from Holborne's "Pavans, galliards, almains, and other short æires both grave, and light", No. 40 and No. 64 (As it fell on a holie eve), 2 & 3 are from Brade's "Newe ausserlesene Paduanen und Galliarden" (1614), No. 27 and No. 1 You can find the transcriptions at IMSLP (imslp.org/) And, by the way, well done!
