You had me sold at 210 HP, and 885 Ft lbs of torque. I should hope that the firmware is updateable, in this day and age, that should be a given. If you had made the motor controller software open source, which really does produce innovation, I would have completely forgiven the lack of a full fairing, with an integrated HUD. But OTA updates? My phone, does not get better with OTA updates. Nor does almost any software. Eventually the inevitable forced updates, are used to cripple the formerly free features, or impose paywalls, or force bundling of malware, that cannot be removed, and many other things too numerous to get into, but none of which improve the quality of the original hardware, or the purpose it was designed for. I understand that employing a legion of Beta Testers, that pay you for the privilege of doing so, is an enormously attractive proposition, as is the sale of all their data. An enormously attractive proposition for you, the manufacturer. Not your customers. We become your slaves, if we cannot completely control how our machines behave. You are trying to market a motorcycle, to a demographic, that prefers self driving cars. AI on a motorcycle? Boy, I sure wish my bike had that! Said nobody. Ever. I like your wheel/motor design. Not completely sure of the effect that much unsprung weight will have on the handling, maybe the lower centre of gravity, will offset that. Eventually, I'll purchase a wrecked Verge, and build a proper motorcycle. Thank you for not designing it as a front wheel drive, that ensures more available motors will reach the secondary market, as the motor is the most likely component to survive a collision. Unless of course, some other company, one that is not enamoured with becoming a two wheeled iPhone brings to market what those of us who ride motorcycles really want, in which case, Ill buy one of those. One more thing. 210 Hp, and a top speed of only 124 Mph? A beat up 1980's Honda 400 will beat that. You really haven't a clue about what motorcycles are all about. I'd like to wish your company well, but I don't. The environment would benefit from electric motorcycles, but not from the type of machine you are developing. The best outcome I can imagine, is that Verge, will becomes an example to other companies, demonstrating what happens when you try to force your own vision on your customers. Too bad, like I said, you would have had me at 210 Hp, and 885 Torque.

It’s understandable to have questions about the torque figures, and I appreciate your interest in understanding how they’re measured. Our team takes transparency seriously, and we strive to provide accurate information about our products. The torque figure you mentioned is often misunderstood. In bike dynamometer it’s measured at the wheel, not at the motor, which can sometimes lead to confusion, because there is a gearbox/chain ratios. Additionally, electric motors deliver torque differently than traditional combustion engines, which can result in higher torque figures even with lower power motors. For example, a 1200cc combustion engine bike can produce over 1000Nm of torque in first gear at the wheel. Every gear affects wheel torque that goes to the road. In our case, because we don’t have gears the torque is 1:1 to the wheel = Verge TS Pro’s motor torque. Power (kW) = Torque (N.m) x Wheel RPM / 9.5488 If you’d like more detailed information on how we measure torque and power, please don’t hesitate to ask.

@@vergemotorcycles If a bike has gears then the dynamometer run will be done in the gear corresponding to a 1:1 ratio (often 4th gear) Your bike has no gears... so why did you bring that up? On this bike 1 motor revolution = 1 wheel revolution. How can your motor produce as much torque as the combined torque output of the 3 much heavier electric motors found inside the Tesla Plaid?

They have done many interviews explaining all of that and the Ip68 rating is easy to achieve with EVs. The battery is water tight.

@vergemotorcycles Brazil needs you!!! The Brazilian population wants electric motorcycles but we have few companies that manufacture/sell electric vehicles. The company that pioneers in the electric automotive market will have Brazil in its hands and will become the market leader, not to mention that investing in Brazil means investing in South America... surely if you continue there in North America or Europe, Verge Motorcycles will just be another one among the others.

Pls Look on how Energica did it. You can change every mode individual. Why you have such pre-settings on the different mode ? With my Energica I use alway full regen as I like to play with the throttle and not use manual breaking.
