Any tutorial on using the network option in the camea to transfer files rather than the cable. Thankfully my PC has a C port.

Very useful video. Excellant work. I dont know if others have experienced this but the APP does not run on my Android phone (must be getting on a bit) so I could not activate the camera :-(. Had to install the app on my Dads phone (newer) to progress. Shame the X4 is so dependant on the app. Anyone know of actiavting the camera with an older phone ?

One very important issue to note, the DJI Mimo app is terrible. If you record in 4k/60fps the videos are flickering and shaky rendering them unusable. 1:32 You can record using your phone's camera app, but your zoom/focus button and start record button may not work. So you are basically forced to choose between quality and functionality.. For a 200 euro gymbal, kinda sucks right?

How do you change the rrrs on the 360 panoramas. It's just so painfully low res. Any zoomin or use with vr is a blocky mess. At least on iphone 15 pro.

New X4 owner there -- thanks for this video, it's very helpful. One question for you: does the camera have a GPS chip built in (like GoPro used to have in their Heros, but since dropped it), or, when in that mode, does it grab GPS data from the phone (hence why the phone app needs to be running)? Hi there if you have a youtube channel you can upload to your channel. I am in the process of editing hundreds of 360 videos from my 500 mile Camino from France to Santiago. I tested some over the last week or so on both Facebook and my youtube channel. You need each video to be full resolution and prepared using Insta studio before uploading. I found KZfaq was better than Facebook when it came to video quality and playback. I was getting issues on Facebook with playback. This is an old 360 video of mine it will give you an idea of the quality it was filmed using the X3 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Zs6plcRyscrcm5c.html

Why aren’t my images being saved to my iPhone album in 360 images format after I chose export as 360 from insta360 app? It’s just flat images doesn’t save with that 360 symbol and FB doesn’t support 360 images no more ?

Don't believe everything you see on YT from content creators with a big following. There's always two sides to any story ;) At the end of the day, Insta360 puts out good hardware and have been for a long time. Do some critical thinking and search past history of shady practices with the other two companies. I love how viewers are now saying they tell "all" their youtubers to not say what? two content creators who allegedly made accusations? Gotta love social media :)

@@LouisLuzuka sorry, that's inaccurate, the first accusation was made by Iphonedo (637K subscribers) about a 'colleague' Erin Donahue (2.8K subscribers) whom allegedly asked not to disclose sponsorship, it wasn't even HIM that was asked, it was 'A' fellow content creator. Then Jeven Dovey (1.05M subscribers) who allegedly said he was asked to remove sponsorship and displayed a screenshot of the conversation which btw wasn't the 'complete' conversation shown in his video ;) That's two of hundreds of sponsored content creators and these "3" are hardly "small" youtubers and I don't count the content creators who are cashing in on this for hits, likes and subscribes lol. But thank you for sharing your conclusions 👍

Confession - I have only dipped into this so far as it's the early hours of the morning here, but I went straight to the bit where you mentioned sharpness. For me this is a vital setting. When set to low, I think the X4 loses detail as well as sharpness, and you can't recover that later. You end up losing a lot of the 8k capture advantage. Sure, it's a matter of taste but I would strongly recommend new users to test low vs medium themselves, and maybe stick with medium unless really sure that they are happy with the softer low look. Anyway, I will watch the rest tomorrow as it looks like a very good guide!

It’s much better to use this without memo app I have iPhone 15 pro and my app doesn’t allow me to use portrait pics neither I can make cinematic video which I use most of time and that’s why I bought this phone…but still not bad to use and gamble function.

My biggest issue with this device is that the app requires you to give it full and complete (read/write) access to your entire video and photo library. Combine that with its AI technology and it seems like that is harvesting your images and videos to train its AI free of charge. If my data is that valuable then they should be paying me for it. I could understand if it was asking permission for videos I used the device to create but whole sale access to my entire library of 50,000 images and 2,500 videos seems a bit excessive. Considering they don't tell us what they would be writing to my images I am very concerned about this permission. Until it is clear how and what they are and will be doing with my images I can not purchase this. As a creator, you should be concerned because it could invalidate your copyright claims to all you KZfaq videos and al your content since you have essentially provided free access to that content without a contract specifying its use and payment for your creative output..

The permission is for the Insta360 app to access the gallery app. You're not giving permission to use your copyrighted content. That would require some kind of contract. Besides, most social media platforms require non-exclusive rights to your images if you upload them to the platform (otherwise they wouldn't be able to share them). You think Meta, Instagram, X, TikTok, KZfaq and so on aren't using your images to train their AI? All 3rd party camera apps need access to your gallery and camera. Apple, Samsung, (both heavily invested in AI) etc have access to your phone's camera app and media gallery. Do you know they're not using them?

@@SiHorrocks Every photo and video that your phone has made, or picture it is take is in the gallery app or at least accessible to it. The other question is why does it need written access? What is it writing that you are not aware of? As far as I can see you are giving them care blanche access to everything to do with it as it pleases. I still want a lot more information on what they are doing with items in the gallery app and are they harvesting them to train the AI engine of the device?
