The cutout might be some kind of sleep setting that is arguing with your pc. My razor headset did the same thing with my windows 11 pc. If not it could be defective. Thanks for the review! I am ordering 2 pair of these soon to run in unison in my living room ( wanting to try something different instead of surround sound.) And was thinking about turning the treble up but leaving the bass what do you think?

"backwards" with the handle facing forwards is the best for setups where you want the balance to be in the middle. If he had a 15mm rod setup with more weight towards the back, and mount it to that spot it will be better pointed back. My personal prefrence has always been the forward facing, but I also mount heavier lenses and I use a cage to move the handle further back if needed. It's easier to carry and click on/off a tripod mount.

It depends on the balance of the camera setup itself, and partly on how you hold and film with the camera. Ultimately, either way can be correct so long as it works best for you and your filming style.
