It's the only country I've been to where when you say a few words in their language , or try to start a friendly conversation you are met with total ignorance or contempt. You can see it in their eyes , I believe a lot of the people there don't like foreigners. I was in the local supermarket, and the girl serving literally threw the change back at me. Every day I went there , I said Madloba and was always friendly , I was totally ignored. This was a recurring theme. They say that it is because they are on low wages , well I've been through south east Asia and they are very polite and friendly people... Manners cost nothing.

I used to go to Barnstaple on the bus from Ilfracombe to attend North Devon Technical College. Sometimes got off the bus at the Strand and walked up Sticklepath hill to the college but mostly stayed on the bus to the top of Sticklepath hill. I'm old enough to remember taking the steam train from Ilfracombe to Barnstaple to go to Barnstaple fair! Oh, Diamond White is/was an extra strong cider (Alc. 8.2% vol). I don't think I ever had one myself as I was a brown and bitter drinker back then. I have the occasional Guinness nowadays!

georgian post is also a big negative, 50% of my post either gets lost or returned to sender. totally agree on traffic, i get road and pedestrian rage every time i venture out on foot or by car. a lot of the dog poo is caused by owners who think it above them to clean their own dogs mess..

stray dogs are everywhere.. most of them are big and friendly.. so far nothin happened.. for driving and customer service, this is the top priority of the government to fix.. so far georgia is a good country..

If you think the driving in Georgia is bad, you should've seen my driving the first time I drove home from work by myself! I went the wrong way down a one-way street (thankfully there was no one coming), and my mistakes added up as my disorientation increased. I failed to stop at stop signs, forgot to put on my turn signal, and in general just acted like a crazy driver. It's a good thing that there were no cops around or they would've stopped me in a heartbeat! Maybe drivers in Georgia are all new?

I first became interested in Georgia a few years ago, and totally fell in love with it last year. I want to visit it, and potentially even live there temporarily or permanently. It's good to know that everything is really cheap there! Even if I didn't have a great job, living a normal life would be inexpensive, which is good. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the supermarkets have a lot of the same brands we have here in the States. It would certainly make the transition easier, as I wouldn't have to adjust my lifestyle too much, while learning more about the Georgian culture at the same time. Thanks for the video!

My girlfriend is from Mykolaiv. I was there from 2016-2018. I absolutely loved it there. At 1:26 there's an old Slava class cruiser that remains unfinished. Not so sure what the city is like now. But we used to frequent Shambala, which is a restaurant near the shipyard. One day I'll go back.

Great video. I did my A levels at what was then the North Devon College in the late 70's. Used to frequent two discos, Tempo and Chequers. It's a beautiful area with Ilfracombe nearby and I had good swims at the beaches of Saunton and Woolacombe. Really enjoyed my stay in Barnstaple almost to the detriment of my studies. Brought my wife there in 1991 to visit my old haunts and she loved the town and the countryside.
