24.02.2022 - Update: I miss-judged the situation and I was wrong.
Like many Ukrainian people, I never thought it would come to this.
Let's hope it doesn't escalate any further.

There’s been a lot in the news recently about Ukraine and a potential Russian takeover of Ukraine. I live in Kyiv, and in this video I give you my perspective on the situation.
So what’s the situation really like in Ukraine? To be honest, life is continuing as normal in Kyiv. People aren’t panicking, they still meet friends, go walking, go to work. People aren’t packing up and rushing to the Polish border either.
News websites and TV stations are exaggerating the situation and scaremongering. The President of Ukraine said a similar thing in response to Biden’s comments. Anyway, Ukrainians love their country and they aren’t going anywhere without a fight.

Thank you for sharing your insight into what it is truly like in Ukraine right now. In the UK/US media it is all scare mongering with speculation of Putin starting WWIII and not recognising that in fact Ukraine was invaded eight years ago as you stated. I did chuckle at your descriptive of Putin being the Moscow midget! On a separate note I would like to thank you for taking the time to subtitle your vids. As a hard of hearing viewer it is appreciated. Stay safe.

Yeah, it seems the UK online news are more interested in getting clicks on their articles than actually reporting the real situation here. Hopefully things can be solved diplomatically.

well here in Ukraine we have a saying (у любі ситуації чисти кулимет) " in every situation, charge the machine gun" this means preparing for worst but stay calm )

You'd better be very scared. You don't want to be controlled by Russians with a gun to your head. You would rather be free like Western Europeans

@@crand20033 I left this battle long ago, I don't live in Ukraine, and honestly, last time I visited it didnt feel home anymore. I feel like as much as I try I cant fix it, as much as I try to start from myself, there is nothing I can do. I am no one in Ukraine, I cant grow, I cant develop, I simply couldnt afford it there. U are right to call me weak and cruel, but Im not wasting my life on this country. Its like a relationship, ill be where im wanted, where i can make difference, where i am actually allowed to contibute. I feel anger for families who are forced to suffer through this, who have to invest their hard earned money in military taxes and send thier children and husbands to die just to help someone feed on war, help someone get rich. Im not scared of anything, I simply see no point in standing for the country that wont stand for you.
