@DavidZhou13 сағат бұрын
You can use USB-C to USB-C for v-mount to camera. Then, depending on the ports available on your monitor; you can either go D-TAP to barrel port (AC port) or D-TAP to dummy NP-F battery

I just bought these. Very sharp and not much character - honestly no better than any of the Sony G-masters / Primes I have (photo lenses). My opinion is if people already have those, there's no need for these. Keep your autofocus and save your money for some Cooke Sp3's.

Hey there, I recently acquired the ZVE1 for my work and daily photography needs. However, after using it for about six months, I've started to miss having an EVF especially for outdoor events like weddings and other shoots. I find it particularly useful for both photo and video work outdoors. I'm thinking of upgrading to either the A74 or the A7CII. Could you advise on whether it's worth upgrading to one of these models, and which one you would recommend more? p/s: Please don't suggest using an extra monitor; I want to keep things compact! 😄🤣😂
@DavidZhou6 күн бұрын
Hmmm… If you’re shooting client work like weddings, the a74 would be nice because you can have the peace of mind with dual card slot recording-plus it has a higher shutter speed maximum which is helpful for outdoor photography!

Hi, did you notice any focus jump/focus pulsating when you close up to the subject with autofocus on with this lens (PZ 16-35mm F4 G)? Mine seems to have the issue when I use gimbal to go in closer to the subject's face, it seems to have that zoom pump, but it is actually the focus going error for a very fast milliseconds (or looks like focusing the back of the subject in mine), and then slowly focus back to the subject, and it is quite frequent. Or sometimes it would just make that whole scene to have the shaking stutter effect for a millisecond, I had even set the focus shift sensitivity to the lowest, and it still does the same thing. For the body I'm currently using A7S3. Attached here is an example (not my video, but a clip I manage to found online which has the same issue as mine), look at the table at the bottom area and you'll understand what I meant: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/eteKobyizJnegnU.html Much appreciated for your replies, thank you.

I don’t think it’s a lens design issue across all units, it is possible that it’s either something the cameras doing due to its settings or it’s an issue with your specific lens. I’m not 100% sure but these troubleshooting steps may help. 1) Make sure your aperture isn’t changing during the shot (e.g., test it in Aperture Priority or Manual Mode where the aperture is fixed and doesn’t change to try to adjust exposure) 2) Set your subject shift sensitivity and focus speed settings to the lowest setting possible and test again. 3) Focus could be thrown off very briefly if the subject is backlit or in a hard lighting condition for the camera (where the camera very briefly thinks something else is the subject and tries to correct) Let me know if any of this helps

I love the overall image quality for third-person perspective, like an establishing shot. use it in what i call the utimate vlogging combo. The X4 (B-CAM third person shots) n Osmo pocket 3 [MAIN CAM) . Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses is a plus for POV..I use two DJI Transmitters (TX) with my Osmo pocket 3 had already bought one to use with my insta360 X3 (now using X4).

I think of my X3 sometimes as a camera which can appear to be several cameras at once, by reframing without panning later (which seems to be an underused technique). Also it is a camera which allows me to enjoy the moment on family or tourist occasions without having to have my eye glued to a viewfinder. Just wave it in the air, or put it on a tripod in the middle of the action, and sort it out later. When it comes to workflow it's worth pointing out that the Studio version 5 PC app now allows reframing etc and editing together multiple clips in one pass, for those who don't want to use a second editor for that (and who think like I do that one-pass editing is at least in theory better than two passes). Finally, I almost cried when I heard the bonk of the lens of your X4 hitting the table - followed shortly after by a shot where the lens looked a bit dirty or scratched... I never put my X3 down unless onto a soft surface. Will I get the X4? I'm sorely tempted but I keep buying / upgrading cameras but then not actually using them... Anyway, great video, thanks for posting.

Am thinking of adding a 5th camera angle using 360. Currently using 3cam interview set up with dji pocket for wide coverage. Planning to take advantage of the circular earth effect as a creative shot. My only concern is if it would take away from storytelling, and recording over 20mins video be pain in the transcoding. Curious on your thoughts on this matter. And does the earth look work well on indoors?
@DavidZhou15 күн бұрын
That'd be a creative way to use 360! I agree with 20+ minute recordings potentially being an issue (the X4's 8K mode indicates that it can potentially overheat but I filmed for about 10-12 minutes outside in the heat without issue, though the X4 did get pretty warm), transcoding though it's not the worst thing in the world, just adds a few minutes to your workflow. The Earth effect works well indoors as long as there's sufficient lighting.

It can't be the "most unique" lens you own ... because if it truly IS unique, then there can be no relative amount (ie. "most"), of unique-ness. It's either 100% unique - or it's NOT unique. 🤣

It still sucks at telling the difference between freckles and blemishes and most of my manual work involves me image by image undoing the removal of freckles... Why does ai software like evoto and retouchforme suck so hard at telling the difference between a freckle and a blemish when we humans can tell the difference just fine. It's been years and ai still can't tell the difference. I would give them my money for the time it would save for blemish removal if I did not have to do it manually image by image. Get this sorted evoto, it's the first and most important step of retouching. After that you might want to look at making dodge and burn better able to detect unwanted dark areas because I often have to open images in Photoshop to do some manual dodge and burning. The freckles is pretty much every image so you need to fix that first. Dodge and burning depends on the person and the lighting if I need to do manual stuff.

Hey brotha awesome video, is there an alternative brand you would recommend for that "allure" 1/8 black mist filter for the Sony zv e1? Besides a matte box? Just got the camera wondering as that's probably one that id use most, and in your opinion is this something Youd recommend or is separate Nd filters just as good or continent? Also what do the MM behind these nd filters represent in them? From doing some light research dive. Also want to note i watched your freewell k2 video, does that have this 1/8 black mist filter style? I like how its more mobile friendly. thanks dude!

okay 1 thing to notice on Osmo 3 is the quality is not that different from footage from my old iphone 13 pro max... and the only usage of it is to take walking talking head, you can't zoom at all (2x digital zoom is suck) so in real life scenario it's worse than 13 pro max with 3x optical zoom + 15x digital zoom. Sold the thing early so I just lose 10% of the price (rarely use) and get an old ZVE10 + 18-50 2.8 which is world different in video quality
@DavidZhou20 күн бұрын
It definitely has it's time and place, it's great for wide shots and "standard gimbal shots". It won't have the versatility of optical zoom so I treat it like an advanced point and shoot camera with solid dynamic range. Even though I've been shooting with it a lot more recently, it still won't replace my Sony cameras (except for in niche scenarios to get footage in places that don't allow "pro" cameras with detachable lenses, like concerts).
