Thank you for posting this video. I LOVE this race. The riders and their team are amazing athletes. I grew up on a farm and I used to ride bareback, so I know the core muscles it takes to ride bareback and what a wild thrill it is to be riding a bareback horse at a full gallop and the connection that the rider needs to have with their horse. The MOST incredible part of this race is the whole teamwork it takes for the rider and their team mates in the pen. Those "changes and exchanges" are unbelievable! These riders and team-mates are the absolute hi-lite best of the Calgary Stampede. Again, thank you for posting this video.

Hello. I live in south Korea now. I've never seen so many fire engines except for the last few wildfires.
@drone_video98499 ай бұрын
I had nothing to compare it to; I thought what ever was going on was serious, but there wasn't much action other than the police and fire fighters showing up. Someone else in the comments said this was some sort of government building, maybe thats why.
@a1b2c3d4ee9 ай бұрын
Inside that building, there was a safe house of the Korea - CIA, so many agencies were dispatched.
@drone_video98499 ай бұрын
Thats interesting, how is it that i tis publicly known to be a safe house? I would have thought that information would be a closely guarded secret? It's also so close to the police station, which if memory serves me right was only one block away.
@a1b2c3d4ee9 ай бұрын
@@drone_video9849 There are several reasons. I can't go into detail, but I talk about the situation. First of all, there are no technical police officers at the scene of a general fire scene, normal or Traffic police officers are wearing yellow vests or jackets. However, it is seen that even technical police and plainclothes police have been dispatched at this scene. Your area is Jongno-gu, where Gwanghwamun is located, and is around Jongno Police Station. It is an area where the former presidential office and the government complex are located. KOREA-CIA has several safe houses installed in hotels and residences in the Jongno area. Most of the buildings in this area are office buildings, so residential buildings are valuable. The U.S. Embassy is also a five-minute walk away, so it has good access to the CIA HQ in Korea. KOREA-CIA headquarters in Seoul is a 40-minute drive from here.

@@jaydenmackenzie9670 It's no joke. I imagine they have a ton of cheap backlit colored paper ad boards (or LED ad walls) plastered all along the tunnels of the subway that have a different printout of a frame from an ad video. Since they know the speed of the subway they can calculate the FPS of the spacing of the printouts. Persistence of vision takes over and your mind sees it as a moving video.

I was just there last month and the Changing Of The Guard was a lot simpler with only 2 relief Guards and their Sgt of the Guard. So I wonder if this particular ceremonial changing has a specific significance, ? or a change from pre-pandemic to post-pandemic

Wow! Watching this video is like peering through a window of my earliest childhood memories. We moved into our bungalow in neighbouring Prestwick Village on November 1, 2000. It's so nostalgic to see the neighbourhood as it was back then, not to mention the cars that were on the road! I remember going for a family tour of the Fire Hall, and viewing show homes on Prestwick Blvd during the summertime. Our house was at 251 Prestwick Landing, just behind the row of houses at the 7:07 mark but not visible. Thank you, this brings back fond memories.

So glad to bring back some positive memories; Its a very cool area of Calgary. That firehall was pretty cool; and they treated every visitor so well over the years and all the school visits. I wish I had some more footage from back then to share.
@EskimoCanadian44 Жыл бұрын
@@drone_video9849 Yeah, I would love to see the Prestwick side of things from that era, but I'm glad this footage exists. Any tapes we might have recorded are either lost or missing; buried in a box somewhere. All we got are pictures and memories. It amazes me how far the city has grown since 2000. McKenzie Towne, Cranston, and Chaparral were the farthest communities south. Today, the southern outskirts of the city are nearly half way to Okotoks!
@EskimoCanadian44 Жыл бұрын
Amazing! Some of my earliest memories come from this exact time and place, when I was just 2 and a half years old! My family had a house under construction not too far away at 251 Prestwick Landing during the Summer of 2000. It was a Jayman Built "Craftsman" model bungalow, and we would visit from our grandparents house in Midnapore almost every week to check on the work in progress. We moved away from Mckenzie Towne in 2007, but the neighbourhood will always remain a nostalgic place to reminisce. Still got loads of pictures from those early days when Mac Towne was mostly open field for miles on end. A few years ago I found some papers from the old house with a price tag of a modest $165K. Nowadays, that price has probably tripled for the same 1,200-odd sq. ft. bungalow. Unbelievable... Thanks for uploading!

Thanks for sharing your memories of the area... I remember those open fields (my place was built on that farmland!). DO glad this video brought you some joy.
