i think the space marine guy won the debate. You need someone who knows Halo lore and read all the novels. Also, the Warhammer fans love to add in the tons of strong space marine facts and feats but wanna leave out the weak ones. Warhammer has the most INCONSISTENT lore like ever lmfao. There is an instance of a single imperial sergeant defeating 2 space marines and 1 space marine CAPTAIN in a training exercise, which implied at the end he wouldve killed them all had it been real, an earned the respect of the space marines. One of the wolf chapters i believe because they were arguing about how this sergeant couldnt hunt like them. Just one example of many were space marines are not these invincible monsters you claim, but they are very, very strong. As for the 1v1 it depends, as there are many variants of both space marines and spartans. A single spartan 2 vs a single space marine, i think the spartan 2 wins. I dont think any other spartans could win the 1v1. They keep harping in the fact spartans are actual soldiers not just murderers, but space marines are indeed soldiers, use tactics, and are generally geniuses when it comes to battle. NOW for what everyone really would like to see, how far could MASTER CHIEF make it up the ladder, or could he defeat a space marine? That my friends is a dumb question as of course he could EASILY defeat a space marine. Here are some of master chiefs feats Squatted 100 ton boulder slapped an air strike missile out of the air to avoid it hitting him in the chest (literally swatted it away) runs 55 mph in full armor can defeat an entire platoon of brutes single handedly with 0 effort. (base brutes are strong enough to rip apart spartan 3s/4s bare handed) Not to mention all of his video game feats. He defeated atriox, a brute so strong he threw another brute with one arm strong enough that the vaccum of space pulling through the broken hull could not alter his trajectory. Atriox is a 1400 pound beast. No armor. 1400 pounds of muscle, with a massive gravity hammer. I would rate atriox similar to a captain of space marines. So how far do i think Chief could make it up the space marine ladder?? WELL.... I think he could defeat any space marine up to LT in ANY CHAPTER. BUT, Depending on the matchup, there are space marine captains who could defeat him MAYBE. As for chapter masters, this is where i think chief is matched and has trouble. For chief to win these fights rely entirely on the chief having a very favorable matchup that he could take advantage of, as they are all probably stronger and faster, just as smart, and very very skilled.
