I was adopted from Rzhev Russia. I found birth family couple years ago. It's hard. My birth mother is an alcoholic. I have siblings there, aunts, and uncles. I have alot of ptsd and trauma from it all. Glad I found your videos, it helps. My adopted mom sadly passed away 5 years ago.

Есть ли в Новой Зеландии школы приёмных родителей, органы опеки, помогает ли государство? Как относятся соседи к усыновленным детям? Как в детском саду, школе? Принято скрывать что ребенок не родной? I adopted my son in 1994. I wanted him to visit his orphanage in Oshtashkov but was told over and over, even though he is a U.S. citizen not to go there. He would have to go to NY russian embassy and get a new passport. He also was told, since he was in his early 20's, that he would be put into the Russian army and not allowed back. Have things changed? He has two sisters in the area that were older and still living there. Any suggestions?

My biological mother sadly never acknowledged that I existed. I had an insider in Vladivostok who works for a local government agency and she showed up to the actual residence of my biological grandmother and biological mother, when they saw her, they both exploded into a fit of rage while she tried to explain why she was at the residence to begin with. Both of them didn’t realize that I was just checking in on them to make sure they are safe, I want my biological mother to understand that I really cared about her and sadly never accepted that. After all that, I will just enjoy the remainder of my days living in peace. I’m still heartbroken from all that.

I certainly do not think I’m perfect, but if we all put ourselves in other people’s shoes this world would be a better place. This is coming from someone who has lived a privileged life, but suffered a traumatic brain injury last March and was in a brain trauma unit for six weeks, and does suffer after effects which most people would be unable to comprehend, me included, before this happened. A huge lesson for me. Before this happened I did foster children who weren’t fortunate to come from the best of circumstances. I so admire you on your journey, and the love you have for your birth mother and father. Best wishes and lots of happiness on your journey 🙏

She couldn't break the cycle in her life but she knows you did it and she is happy for you.
