I'm new to FPS and Ive been playing Xdefiant, watching reviews. This one by far is the best 🫡💯. I do alot of the things you do as far as game modes, and weapon xp. Ive been getting clapped but Im improving. I really hope they fix the shotties. No one should be able to take two headshots from a shotgun, but its happened to me alot. So much to the point I stopped using them 🤷

Thanks so much for the kind words! It's always tough getting into competitive FPS for the first time, the good thing is a lot of skills will translate from game to game as well as things as general knowledge of how spawns and pacing works for different map sizes. I remember playing CoD 4 for the first time as a kid, it was my first FPS, and I was TERRIBLE, in the entire year I played it I got one 7 kill streak (which was the attack helicopter) and to get it I sat in the corner for basically the entire match and when I was on 6 kills I was literally shaking haha! And yes, the shot-guns are definitely VERY hit-and-miss, but they're also probably the hardest weapon type to balance in an FPS because the line between underpowered and overpowered is really slim.

I got to level 28 before the Echelon spam made quit & uninstall...why would they put a character with free walls every 30 seconds and you can run multiple per team??? With no counter at that? Stupidest game design choice EVER. There's too many good games out there to waste time getting frustrated by getting wall hacked constantly every match 👍

They need to add a “Ghost” type faction or add that to one of the existing ones to counter Echelons but they probably won’t

If there’s no sbmm in this game, why do they break up every single lobby after each match, why do they feel the need to put you in a new lobby. Every lobby I’ve played in has equal player ranks, maybe one really low and one high, for most people are the same rank level as me., now tell me who does sbmm benefit, top tier 1-3 player base, for everyone else it’s feels like a sweaty lobby. Sbmm doesn’t need to be a bad thing if they toned it down like the earlier version of cod, I think it would have been more interesting in my opinion. The progress system in this game is ridiculous. The hit detection is way off, bunny bouncing is still broken, people is corner camping with their wall hacks perk. The funny thing is in this game I had much more fun in level 1-25, than 25-85 where I am now, and the grind for the three camo’s in the game is to long, good luck with levelling up the shotgun and sidearms.

hero shooter elements are so cheesy. they have no counters or ability to dodge them. they are just going to end up buffing and nerfing them every update because they see something in their "data". ubisoft has been doing this with rainbow six siege for years. its a shell of its former self. albeit abilities make sense in siege but the game devs make changes because the players arent playing as the dev team "envisioned" is annoying. siege has been slowed down so much over the years because devs get butt hurt when people prefer gunplay over the abilities they put so much "time and effort" to make. the current meta of siege is a camping fest with 500 millisecond ads times. when siege launched characters moved way faster and ads times were around 200 milliseconds. the game was much better.

It's always going to be tough for devs to balance a game with heroes/factions, especially like you with what you said, when there is a push-pull between what the players are asking for, what the data shows, and what the devs envisioned. I think one thing that makes it especially tough for a game like XDefiant, is that I don't think many of its players have any sort of attachment to the factions outside their abilities, so players will flock to whatever is the "strongest" or "OP". It'll be interesting to see what happens with that side of the game moving forward.

I’m using a ps4 controller and a 8bitdo adapter for ps2 it works until I played Mk deception konquest mode and the analog sticks don’t respond.

Works great with my $4 Ebay dongle! So happy to lose the cord and use my old Sixaxis PS3 controller. That X button on the PS2 controller was killing my thumb!

Why I don't have pademu option in my ps2 ? (I tried ps2 slim and fat and this option is just missing) I checked on opl 0.93 0.94 and 1.1.0 and I don't see this option

That's correct unfortunately! If you want to use it for any game, you'll need an adaptor. I have a video on the Brook's Super Converter that works well, but I did end up feeling that it introduces some dead-zone issues. I do intend to check out the newer Brook Wingman PS2 converter to see if they fixed that issue.

i bought an adapter today and this is not working, only connected with usb cable, the bluetooth adapter is 4.0 i push X on Pair so i get the MAC address full but when i disconnect the DS3 nothing happens :(

I'm not sure about this. With pademu, you are essentially tricking the console into replacing one of the physical drives with a Bluetooth/USB drive. So using two PS2 controllers would prevent the multitap (4 player) emulation from working because the console wouldn't have any "slots" free for the "multitap" to plug into. I could be wrong though, someone can correct me if I am!

I've been running a 2tb P5 plus for ps5 games and a 2tb mx500 sata ssd external for all ps4. I find the sata to be faster than either internal for ps4 games. I wonder if the mx500 internally in a PS4 pro would be faster than the PS5 for PS4 games.

The PS2 is connected to a retrotink 5x via RGB-Scart, and the Retrotink device outputs via HDMI in 1080p to the capture card.

@@eleven8948 A launch PS2 is almost guaranteed to be able to run OPL. If you're interested, just search on KZfaq for PS2 Free McBoot tutorial, and I'm sure you'll find something, it'll let you run back-ups of your games and because you won't have to wear out your laser, your PS2 should end up lasting even longer.

I believe if you hold down the PS button long enough (around 10 seconds or so), the controller should turn off.

@@simmsy1989 I know that feeling, basically every third-party wireless controller is pretty bad. If you haven't already bought this converter and your PS2 can run Free McBoot, check out one of my recent videos called 'The best PS2 Controller is a PS4 controller", might end up being a better option.

@@simmsy1989 The video I mentioned shows a different method of connecting a ps4 controller to your console. But as I said it will require a Free McBoot memory card, which I recommend searching on KZfaq if you've not heard about that.

Yo dude! Thanks for the video. I want to ask can i buy any 2.5" SSD and get an enclosure for it and use it for the ps4? And what will it improve? Like is it just loading times or will it help with ingame map rendering and cutscene loading time exc? I play mainly Apex Legends and Genshin Impact on ps4

Unfortunately, the performance benefit of an SSD in an enclosure on a PS4 will be minimal (if any benefit at all) as you'd be limited by the USB port speed of the console. If your main goal is storage increase your best bet would be to get a standard portable hard drive, and if you are looking for some faster loading times, and maybe a tiny bit of better distance rendering, you'd want to upgrade the internal HDD to an SSD. Even in that case, you'll find very little improvement due to the SATA 2.0 interface the PS4 uses. I'm sure there some videos that specifically look into SSD performance on PS4 as well.

So ive got some questions.... I want buy one for my ps2 slim, and I'm going to be using a ps3 duelshock 3 controller One: are these available to buy for PAL systems and/or the UK? And 2 how is the pressure sensitivity and lag? Please answer😋😋😋😋

My PS2 is PAL but I've yet to test it on a slim, but as far as I'm aware there is no reason it shouldn't work on a slim. As for the pressure sensitivity it is very good except for some dead zones in diagonal direction, this wasn't super noticeable at first but depending on what games you play may be a problem (specifically games that require very precise direction input). The lag on the other hand is flawless, can't complain about that at all when using a PS3 controller. But, other than the convenience of having the adaptor just work for PS3 controllers, there is an argument to be made that the best option for using a PS3 controller is through OPL if you have a Free McBoot memory card, you can use a cheap little Bluetooth USB and set OPL up to use a PS3 controller wirelessly and this option doesn't have the input direction issue.

@@mahkimahkila6396 Basically what dead-zone is, is the area of (in this situation left and right stick) that doesn't register at as an input, all controllers have a little bit of this, but with the Brook Converter the dead zone on diagonal movement is noticeably large.
