This is the Nebraska I would rather see. I'd much rather have a 1,700 yard rusher scoring 20 touchdowns then a Quarterback throwing for 2,500 yards. Phillps was great, but his Backups Damon Benning, Clinton Childs and James Sims were good enough to start for virtually any team in the Country. Any of those guys could have run for 1,400- 1,500 yards as a starter in 1994, and Ahman Green was added to the mix in 1995. Philips probably would have won the Heisman Trophy in 1995 if he hadn't gotten into all the off-field trouble. That being said, Ahman Green probably should have won the Heisman in 1997, but I don't think he got a single vote. Almost 1,900 regular season rushing yards, I guess wasn't good enough. Then 206 against Florida in the Fiesta Bowl.

I taught with a guy who went to HS with Rocket in Wilkes-Barre. He said that Rocket could score whenever he wanted and made the other great players on every other team look ridiculous.

Been watching Penn State football since 1986 and Carter is ther best RB ive ever seen suit up for PSU. Better than Blair Thomas, Leroy Thompson, Richie Anderson, Mike Archie, Stephen Pitts, Curtis Enis, Aaron Harris, Eric McCoo, Larry Johnson, Tony Hunt, Austin Scott, Evan Royster, Silas Redd, Zach Zwinak, Saquan Barkley and Miles Sanders. Of the guys I saw run, id rank them, 1. KiJana Carter 2. Saquan Barkley 3. Curtis Enis 4. Blair Thomas 5. Larry Johnson Ive never, ever seen a RB gain yardage faster than KiJana Carter did, it was unreal.

I grew up watching him, n it's a damn shame he got injured in the season opener in 91. FUCK BRYCE PAUP!!! It was a dirty hit, n I'm still pissed about it. If Randall didn't get hurt, the Eagles would've won the SB that year. Cunningham was MVP the year before, n the Eagles went 10-6 in 1991 w 4 different QBs . Jim McMahon, Pat Ryan, Brad Gobel, n Jeff Kemp. Smh. They had a 6 game win streak on the backs of the defense. Look up the House of Pain game on here.

Rocket Ismail is the most electrifying college football player I have ever seen! He made so many huge plays for The Irish. One of my favorites is the 76 yard TD run vs Pitt, he looks like he's in fast forward and the defense is in slow motion!! Ismail absolutely should have won The Heisman!!

Megatron, Randy Moss, Larry Fitzgerald are the best I’ve ever seen to do it in both college and the pros. Peter Warrick great in college - didn’t do anything in the NFL. Jerry Rice, Cris Carter, etc all time greats in the pros obviously, but I hadn’t seen much of their college highlights.

As a HUGE ND fan and Rocket being my favorite college player of all time. He had atotal of 5 TDs from scrimmage with one KR TD. While he was the best player, Detmer had ridiculous numbers. While being on a top 5 team going into the voting. So i do believe rocket was the best player, Detmer in comparison historicaly made sense. Its twisted and didnt say it was right. But it made sense. That all being said, he was robbed lmao.
