Sorry to hear about all the stuff that is happening to you. I was wondering if any of the appliances have warranty on them or not.

My son is also neurodivergent. When he was 7 he happily announced one day, “I opened my window and went on the roof to say hi to people walking by!” We screwed his windows shut. That was terrifying. You are absolutely correct that there are worse things that can happen than these financial setbacks. Safety, a sense of security, our health, having a roof over our heads, and being able to continue to work are our baselines. We have setbacks every year, but God is good and we are together and happy.

I love these videos, but it's so hard to watch them since one single cash stuffing as almost my entire income. So unrelateable

I used to make $2000 a month as a social worker and at the same time my husband had an unpaid internship. My husband and I have made sacrifices and worked very hard to get to where we are now. Let it be inspiring instead of unrelateable.

Wow, sooooo sorry about all the things you've been going through! That's a lot at once (or even separately it would be a lot to deal with). We just moved into our dream/forever home but thankfully nothing has broken or stopped working. I usually bankrupt our sinking funds at the end of each year instead of rolling it over. So we can start fresh in the New Year! It makes it fun and taking all the money out of your sinking funds isn't a huge deal. You'll bounce back quickly and like you said, God is in control and he's got you!!! 🥰

My guy is a really good HVAC tech. The best advice he always gives is to get a second opinion when you're told things like that. There are a lot of not completely honest companies that like to push replacements over repairs when they aren't needed. I'm sorry you guys are going through it so hard right now.

I also wanted to add, you're 100% right on what is and isn't important. My HVAC tech guy had a major stroke, followed by a couple smaller strokes and a major seizure. He is alive though. So, even though our income went to almost nothing and our savings are going fast, I don't care about anything other than the fact that I get more time with him. Our kids get more time with him. People are important. The rest will sort itself out. ❤

I was listening to ‘all the things’ and all I could think of was the movie ‘The Money Pit.’ But, in the end, it all worked out. Love your positivity, and yes, there are worse things than no air conditioning. UNLESS you live in Louisiana or Florida or Arizona. 😂😂

This is how our house was. A bunch “little thing” that happened at once. Our water heater ended up bursting, ac duct was pumped into a wall (without an exit), black mold and foundation crack found when trying to update the finished basement flooring. It was clear they just covered everything to pass inspection. I was extremely ill for months and thought the new area allergies were just awful…

So sorry to hear about that Emily! I love how positive your attitude is towards all that's happening in your new home! That's a lot of appliances breaking down in a short amount of time and you definitely should consider getting a real estate attorney to look into all that. ❤

Omg Emily. I’m so sorry to hear all of this is going on. My cousin and best-friend are also new homeowners and are going through similar things. I’m learning so much from them. I started an unexpected expenses envelope in my home binder, so I’m a little bit prepared once my husband and I purchase a home. Praying for better days my friend.

Yes, this is relatable. It's just me and my mom, bills are divided in half. On August 2023 she lost here job and couldn't get unemployment. To top it off, still with no job, my mom also broke her wrist on December 2023. So life hit us twice in one year. I was and still am grateful for this system because even though it wiped out allllllll of my cash envelopes, we were able to make ends meet. It was a rough journey, but we were patient and took it day by day. She has a job now, recovered well, and now I'm back to recoverying my cash envelopes! I know you and your family will pull through! Sending lots of ❤❤❤

Oh Emily...what a rough month!! I'd DEFINITELY be taking a look at suing the home inspection company, the title company, and the previous homeowners for all of these things going out so soon after closing. Sounds to me like the put some lipstick on a pig to get by until they found a sucker...

Hi Emily, I am truly so sorry so much has got you guys in so little time of owning your new home, but I also Love how you said "This is God keeping you humble". Always trust in God and he will sustain you and carry you through your trials. They seem heavy now, but in no time they will be a faint memory. Plus you ate keeping so positive and that helps so much my sweet friend! I will keep you and your family in my daily prayers 🙏❤. I truly Love your cash stuffing videos, and you have helped me and blessed me in so many ways watching your videos. I have been able to write out a solid goal to pay off my debt, and my hubby is so on board, so this is great and all by using your method and making sure we have an emergency fund while doing it. You truly are Blessed and I pray that whatever you need to do works in your favor and things get taken care of so you can be at ease again. I am so extremely happy to hear you say this house has made You All happy especially your kiddos!!! That makes my heart so happy to hear ❤! May you continue to trust in the God whom gives you the strength each day and the power to smile when you can't control the uncontrollable. You are a wonderful Blessing to so many including myself! Thank you for all you do!! ❤❤

I'm so excited to try the new planner and really i'm looking forward to the plain black and white pages. I've been an EC planner girl for a few years and have gotten tired of all the pastel and bright colors. I"m currently using a monthly so I ordered your weekly pages.

WOW, thats a lot to deal with at one time. I'm guessing the restock has kept your mind occupied. Aside from the stuff breaking down, this seems like the dream home for your family. It's terrible that you have to make upgrades all in the beginning but after its done you won't have to deal with it again for hopefully several years. When my friend bought her first house, she went over at night after she closed and turned on the lights and cockroaches were running around everywhere! She saw no sign of them during the walk thru. During cleanup, it was obvious the previous owners knew about them and she contacted the realtor and in the end the previous owners had to cover some costs for the exterminator. I know it's different then appliances but maybe things will work out in your favor to help with costs.
