Thanks for your videos i just did my expansion valve and evaporator last week 2014 2500 6.7. Your video on removing the dash was the best would not have tried it without it. Hope you are making money on these videos because you have saved me a bunch. Hard to find diesel mechanics in south Florida gonna do the thermostat next really appreciate your videos thanks again

Awsome video. Hopefully this helps my low heat temperature inside the cab issue and lengthy warm up time. I’m doing a turbo actuator at the same time. I bought the self calibration model from city diesel.

@@goosegunner1 The heater cores are a very common cause of low heat inside the cab. You can disconnect the hoses and clean it. There's a couple videos on KZfaq about it.

Very interesting. Service manual for ram 2018 says to use vacuum tool for replacing coolant.

Your correct (but you dont have to....multiple methods on that version) thats on the newer versions of the 6.7L....this is the first year it came out where they actually gave you a bleeder port

Well! Welcome back had not seen u n awhile. Another GREAT VIDEO. I'VE been able to DYI alot of things because of ur videos. The one on egr cooler I've used twice. I have a 2010 Dodge Ram 3500 Larime Mega cab. . My DODGE has gotten louder, I used to be to crank it up and stand by it and it was ALOT quieter. Any idea 💡? The noise seems like it's around the motor more driver side. The muffler is the original. Thanks again for another GREAT VIDEO. HAVE A BLESSED DAY.

Yeah for those guys that those parts “fell off” 😂 have it much easier. That’s the way that a customer of mine always described his deleted truck.

I watch your videos and they're extremely detailed which I love. I'm losing coolant everyday in my 2017 3500 6.7l. I pressure tested the system and replaced the res cap. Still leaking but not on the ground. I'm losing coolant and the light keeps coming on. Any suggestions??

Might be time to remove the EGR cooler and check it. They can leak internally and out the front chairs where you can’t see it. They make special fittings to test them but mainly only the dealer has that.

the wrap that you have around the egr tube. is that like an exhaust/header wrap. and could i use the exhaust/header wrap stuff on the egr tube. thanks dave

I've owned my 2008 since 2010 and can't get that bleeder open it is so tight. even a mechanic friend of mine who did some work for me said he couldn't get open either. I don't understand why it's so tight!! or even how I loosen it without breaking something?

i have a 2014 that i think needs thermostat replaced, gage will not go halfway and jumps around. if i do this do i need a vacuum tool or just brake the banjo bolt?

Absolutely! Believe it or not, i watched a video yesterday of an individual doing a transmission service on a 68 RFE, and he got the 2 values mixed up, and actually torqued one of his pan bolts to like 85 ft. lbs instead of inch lbs. Needless to say he stripped it out. I think after that he realized what he did. Poor guy!@@MotorCityMechanic

Excellent as always. Question please my 2013 grand Cherokee is not over heating BUT I don’t hear the fan go on high anymore. I ran it and noticed cooling fan comes on low with AC on and I turn off AC it got to 210f on gauge and fan came on low temperature stayed 205 I remember fan always seemed to go on high when gauge was at that temperature before confused and being pro active. Any advice David

Hard to say with out actuating the fan speed with a scanner to see if one is acting up. Not a common issue

Hey bud I’m so thankful you put these videos out, watching them makes me feel stupid but I do get something out of them. I have a 2016 3500 ram that just went over a hundred thousand miles. Other than fuel filters, oil and that cvc or filter on top that I changed at 67500 do you suggest anything now. Oh and I changed my rear diff at 99000. Other than that everything is original. I carry a new serpentine belt in my tool box just in case also. Thanks

Long overdue, coolant, power steering fluid, transmission fluid, transfer case fluid, front differential fluid and brake fluid.

@@repairvehicle thanks bud, I honestly did take it back to the dealership at 75000 to get the transmission fluid changed and believe it or not the dealership talked me out of it. They honestly told me sometimes if your not having trouble it’s better not to because these transmissions are so sensitive they just might act up after you do it.

@@nathanurick8320 ,typical for dishonest dealer. It’s like saying don’t change engine oil because your engine will might not run good. Transmission like engine needs clean fluid to lubricate and protect transmission from wear. Transmission fluid goes bad at around 4 years or 40k mileage which ever comes first. I did fluid analysis on my 2018 ram cummins with 48k miles and fluid was beyond factory specs.

Question . on a 2014 jeep grand cherokee laredo 3.6L. Is there an access panel under the rear seats replace the fuel pump/level? Or do you have to drop the tank?

Wish there was but there isn’t…..you will have to drop the fuel tank. Never had to do one yet…….not a common problem. The fuel pump relay in the TIPM is very common and some had a recall that added an external relay and then there was a recall to replace the external relay lol

@@MotorCityMechanic just having a problem when filling all the way up throws code p2067 fuel level circuit. Within 150 miles cel goes away.

Thank you for your knowledge! I have a question I hope you.see and can answer. I have a 16 ram 3500 with the Asian trans. It has 40k miles on it. I notice when towing oil temp can hit 240 and coolant will hit 225. Is this ok or is this something you have run into? Also I don't trust the oil temp gauge. Sometimes it shows 122 on start up

It’s normal for a reason. First your coolant needs changed, it’s no longer provides proper heat transfer and truck will run hotter. Second when towing heavy loads or up hills select manual lower gear. Lower gear equals higher engine speed and lower transmission fluid temperature.

@@repairvehicle I know to select lower gear and do all that but should I really have to watch it that close? I have seen alot of people saying 220 coolant and 230 oil is perfectly acceptable. That seams high to me. I'm going to change coolant to a cummins semi truck coolant ( open to sugestions)

@@lvnsnaperify , if want trouble free transmission then yes lowering gear should be used. Also, going little bit slower might help too and not push truck hard. Make sure coolant is compatible with your truck coolant.

Just did this a couple months ago, thermostat was staying open. Apparently my dealership had the thermostat for something like $432! Idk what happened for it to be that high. Local napa had one for $50

Antifreeze goes bad on these truck before reaching 50k miles and 4 years. I have done coolant analysis and it’s scary how bad coolant is at low mileage

@@pauladams4833 , I don’t know how Mopar coolant can last 10 years without going bad and without causing damage to the cooling system. In gas engine under normal condition maybe, but in the Diesel engine

You say only the Gen 1 has a bleeder valve by the EGR cooler? I have a 2012 Ram Laramie 2500 with a factory bleeder valve by the EGR cooler. the last year they didn't have DEF Thank God with what's going on. yes it still has the Particulate filter but that's something I'll deal with it it ever needs to be replaced or not replaced.

Gen 1 to me is the engine….once they modified the cooling system and added DEF I consider those Gen 2…..just a reference I use
