It's nice to hear Stills without those 2 backup singers he carried around as baggage for so many years.

They've said it all here; I found Jeff Beck as watchable as anyone, with leaning and anticipating. He did live and love his guitar "way" and his music.

As artists, we all fail, and as we reach for more, we fail more. In my work with artists across the spectrum I’ve observed that the best ones know how to fail. I know that might sound trite, but it is more meaningful than it might sound. When we miss a pitch we can either own the clam or turn it into chowder, sliding into the next note we know will fit. The greats do this so adroitly we can be excused for thinking they don’t screw up. It remains, at the end of the day, art.

Oh F**K, did you hear that voice??? Sheeet, I've just always assumed that could only be accomplished with a bunch of computer effects and stuff, never dreamed that there was a real human being walking around who could sing like that. Spooky powerful, sing on!!

Jeff Beck at the warehouse in New Orleans , with Jan Hammer , simply the best , he was the most eloquent player ever, no one , I repeat , no one sounded like Jeff Beck , I've played guitar for 40 years , and his death made me weep ! God Bless the humble Master!

Even though his voice is like a leather strap and he’s a few pounds overweight he still brings life to his songs. I was 17 in 1973. We still had a good station (KLOL-Mother’s Finest) I called in this particular song as a request. His voice was 50 years younger. After the song was played, the DJ said “Thanks for whoever requested this song.”
