My mom used to really enjoy James Taylor and Carole King. I spent many an hour sitting on the living room floor playing while their records were on. We're talking very early 70s. My mom has been gone for a while now, but I think of her when I hear those songs from the good old days. As for Taylor Swift, it's good to see someone who's always wanted to be a "good girl" be so successful. We need people like her. I saw her on the Reputation Stadium Tour (which she's already bested). My impression then has only been confirmed since. When it comes to magnitude of stardom in the musical industry, she is this generation's Michael Jackson circa 1985...just the greatness, minus the issues.

One of the most heartwarming things about this is that Taylor Swift was literally named after him. Something, I learned researching Swift for an upcoming video.
