What are the two smaller plastic connectors for in the picture? There are two big ones with the sides that you press, but I've no idea about the two other pieces.

Hi, not to sure what parts you are on about. The head has 4 brass spigots that fuel lines slide onto. On the outside they are the same size. Can you explain a little more about the bits you speak about?

@@MikeMakesIt at 6:48 you put a picture into the video, which has the two female connectors, a straight one and a right angle one, but also two straight spigots with an O ring on.

Ah those. They are connectors for the fuel pipe ends in case I broke any. In the video I mention my original connectors didn’t clip on very well so bought them just in case. I did’t need them in the end. They come as a two piece set although if I used them I would be able to chuck away one end as this is replaced by the brass spigot in the fuel head.

How to fix replace, repair the switch ?As live in Australia.Just out of warranty built in 2021
@MikeMakesIt
@MikeMakesIt 4 күн бұрын
I've contacted Ryobi with regards a parts manual. I've not replaced a switch unit in these before but I expect the switch unit could be bought although when I enquired about one for a saw it was very expensive, £20. In the end I stripped and cleaned the switch its self. Still running! As soon as I hear from Ryobi I'll place a link here and in the comments. Normal a replacement on these tools just means removing enough screws until you can get to the faulty part. The switch could just need a spray of WD40, assuming it is faulty.

Just had this back from Ryobi: www.cjsinclairltd.co.uk/products/obl1820s?variant=42182167757057 It's a fairly poor document but the switch looks to be a standard microswitch. Take a look and give it a go 👍🏽

The level of magnetism of stainless steel can vary quite a bit depending on the grade. Some stainless steels are weakly or not magnetic at all. Others may have a magnet stick to them surprisingly strongly, just a little weaker than plain low-carbon steel. Many rulers are made of 430 stainless steel which is ferritic and as such quite magnetic.
@MikeMakesIt
@MikeMakesIt 5 күн бұрын
Hi and thanks for the great information. For a long time I always understood stainless was not magnetic but at work now we use different grades of SS for gears and some of it is quite magnetic so the squares are probably made from stainless! Thanks for watching 😃

If you follow the original project it probably wont work. Use the downloadable 1.8gig image and you should be fine.

If you make heavy use as I have I carry a needle with me as yhou can push that into the end of the nozzle when it gets blocked. I mostly clean on the very highest setting in the swirl motion. I have been having problems with using solution though so that has never really worked well for me but that may be my fault.I do need to use as have massive areas at home about 50 litres of hypo treatment on one very large paved area alone and cannot think of a way for the K7 to take all that in and spread it so will keep looking. I would like something to link the K7 to my open big mixed 50% water/ hypo and suck it through to the machine but I think that is perhaps not possible.

Hi Jane, So far I've not had any blockage but like you, tend to always use full power. The plug-in containers are an expensive option and it would be great to be able to get a conversion kit to be able to plug in your own liquid on the Karcher port. That might be something I can look at. If its gravity fed though it bit be a bit tricky. Thanks for the comments and for watching.

Ahh, you are giving me PTSD. I did mine at the end of last year after a dripping regular caused an MOT failure. It wasn't too bad, but when I ordered the new regulator block, I forgot to order the little O ring that sits behind the regulator and the block, so the bloody thing still leaked. I couldn't smell the diesel so it just looked like it was a small oil leak, but in fact, the diesel was picking up the muck on the back of the engine and by the time it was hitting the floor was black.

Hopefully that’s the case! Time will tell 😐 Yes, I think the O rings are part of the connector that fit onto the metal spigot tubes. I bought some new connectors just in case I needed them and if you look into them there seems to be an O ring about the same size as the green ones.

Hi, if the motor is working and there is no suction then I would be looking at the 2 stage filter. Take off the clear end as described in the video (2:30mins) and remove the filter unit.
