Had a kit that looked like this. Used different bolts did not use small snap ring, and drilled out a thin fender washer to take up shifter side slack.

Is kerosene equal to diesel? Sorry for a stupid question from a guy living on Europe
@trav1stymotoАй бұрын
I do not have an answer to that lol. I have never used diesel so I’m not sure. I bet it would clean just as good. Do some research to see what all is in it. Kerosene actually contains some kind of detergent so that’s why I use it.

Thank you! I do in fact enjoy the Sargent seat, a lot. Last year a couple of friends and I went on a multiple day trip, stayed in a hotel and did a lot of local riding around Robbinsville and the tail of the dragon. We all ended up with over 1,000 miles once we were home. The seat didn’t let me down.

I just wanted to swap the cylinder from one case to another I bought on ebay. Others would have you "pick" the lock which you could do quick if lucky or a while if you're not. This will take a fixed amount of time and removes the blind hit or miss frustration from the whole operation. Thanks

I’ve never tried to add a photo that I didn’t take while recording a trip. I’ve always tried to take photos along the way and they are added to the video when you make it in the app. I do know you can choose which photos you want included.

Cool do you have a part number and or location were I can get one. The retaining clip I have the seals on order now
@trav1stymoto2 ай бұрын
Can you not get a clip from wherever you got the seals? Seems like they would have that as well.
@booneautomotive41742 ай бұрын
Unfortunately not, they claim from the manufacturer that the seal is held in my pressure only. No clip but there is a screw there too. The setup you have loos the same. However, easier because I didn’t have to remove much to get to it

What did you do with the O2 sensor after you cut the pipe? And did you have to remap after taking the silencer off? Seems like going straight pipe with no O2 sensor would upset mapping and trigger an engine light.

Not sure if you're still replying to comments on this or not, but I had 2 questions. 1) How is the kit holding up 3 years later? 2) Are the lights bright enough that i could put some tint film over the led strip and it still be visible? Thanks!
@trav1stymoto6 ай бұрын
I sold this bike not too long after I installed this. I had no issues from the time I installed it until I sold it. The LED lights are pretty bright but a film might lower visibility from a distance. That’s something you could try and if it doesn’t work out, just peel it off.

@trav1stymoto6 ай бұрын
I personally don’t remember any smell. If you installed a new one it may just be that. If it’s used, it could just be from the bike it was on before. I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Keep an eye on it. Is anything touching the exhaust?
