I was so inv😂dated in Abi right from this audition to the end that you would have thought I was her grandmother! I voted nearly every week which I haven’t done in many years. Bravo, Abi, you’re going to be a big star!❤

I think like you Barrett and many others I discovered Billie around Bad Guy. I absolutely loved her from that moment forward and still do. She is fucking amazing. It’s interesting hearing her stylistic vocal change into whisper vocals and now into the more soaring range. Finneas’ production had gone from strength to strength. Amazing growth.

My prediction is she will sing the song for Frozen 3 as far as people being bent they don’t know crap about music and they think they know more than you? Personally I like what you have to say.

Once again, Mr Jones, your analysis is spot on! I laughed at your reading of the hilarious comments! And I'm very grateful for your support for Abigail.

You call yourself a professional, but you don’t use complete sentences or articulate your opinions well. Have you listened to this review? Teach your learners what went well and technical aspects that she did well or could have done differently. Such a strange and annoying video and I doubt your ability more than hers after seeing this.

If you have time, check out some of her vlogs. It seems like she puts a lot of pressure on herself and it leads to a lot of anxiety

These were my feelings exactly. Later she demonstrates a higher range but sometimes a poor choice of songs. She is now and will be an even greater star....when she controls the overkill.

It is always inspiring how you react in the concrete moments when you play the songs. It makes me hopeful that there are a few producers like you who really enjoy what they do. I didn`t know Lizzy Mc Alpine before you"ve mentioned her. Now i love ``Older`` ,``Ceilings``, `M̀ovie Star`` and much more. I really get your view. But i find it even a little bit more interesting to see her live in that kind of setting. Greetings from Cologne.

Thanks for sharing! A very unusual stage config, for sure. I guess in my mid 50s, I prefer a more traditional presentation. Also, not a fan of in-ear monitors or headphones. Granted, my hearing has suffered, but I'm not sequestered from everyone.

Fortunately or unfortunately, contestants have to go full voice a couple of times or they seldom go through. BTW, I do disagree with you. Her full voice is not perfect, but it's full of emotion. You can literally feel what she's singing! At any rate, thank you for these videos! I enjoy your work!

Remember, there's a warning on Tide Pod packaging not to eat it. That "do not eat" warning and the comments you shared are from the same people. She's really talented, but hadn't heard of Abi before I watched your video about her.

The good thing is, she has written on both of her songs that are out, big plus.

Welcome to the internet. The intellectual equivalent of Deadwood S.D. back in the good old days before the rule of law. No consequences for bad behavior. Ironically, Abi and her bestie Julia were seen on social media during the filming of 'Idol', reading their own hate comments and doing spit takes with their mouths full of water. That's pretty much all you can do other than ignore it altogether. I don't know if you're familiar with Madilyn Bailey (KZfaqr), but she has written a three-minute song comprised entirely of hate comments she has received through her social media. I was a fan of Abi's from her first audition, but that doesn't make her above criticism. As to that, there are two kinds. There is legitimate constructive criticism which is useful to anyone who honestly wants to grow and improve, and then there are just mean-spirited, useless, "You suck" rants which are about the equivalent of a pack of wolverines getting into your kitchen and peeing on anything they can't eat. Your comments were fair and reasoned. From what I've seen of Abi, I believe if she heard what you said she would take it under consideration with respect for your knowledge and experience, and probably thank you for the honest feedback.

Thanks for the comment. Abi actually thanked me for that first video in the comments.

This video is a joke you are reading mean comments and then you keep talking about why you don't like American Idol. If you don't like American Idol then why are you even making these videos? Her song is way better then anything you have probably produced.
@BarrettJonesProducer5 күн бұрын
I make the videos because I like to highlight talent, and Abi is very talented. American idol is a fabricated TV drama that uses talented young artists to sell product. What do you do?

I believe she made it her song. She cried out in pain a couple of times rather than whisper sing through the entire song. Both ways work, but Abi did need to show the judges some of her other abilities during the two minutes the contestants are allotted. I believe she made smart choices for her audition. (And lo and behold, Luke nailed it! She won American Idol 2024!)

definitely hear the record. they called it an album-ass album. go front to back, no pauses. tell everyone to shut up for the first listen at least. then, you know, do your thing. first listen uninterrupted and in order. don't mess with the eq because i know you have top of the line sound equipment up there in seattle (hi from olympia).

Nothing personal, but the first few minutes of this video was embarrassing, but not for Abi Carter. It was embarrassing for you LOL. I think we should all contact Abi and tell her that the should drop American Idol and immediately call you because you can do so much more than American Idol and the 40 million people who saw her on TV.

I thought it was a brilliant performance. It shows what singing from the heart can truly do for the song. Simon Cowell isn't a judge on American Idol, unless you were referring to the show's producer, Simon Fuller. She also won American Idol season 24. Oh yeah!
@benninger12310 күн бұрын
You got to understand they dont have the full song to work with so you have show everything you have in a small amount of time. Your being over critical, understand she has only done this song so many times.

You were amazi...wait. You're a producer. You're talented like Simon Cowell! All the bravado and critique, none of the talent you wish you had. Stop critiquing and stick to producing...what do you produce?

I disagree. She was not only showing her range but also showing her gritty sound at the top of her full voice. This gives the judges much more info on her abilities.
@user-oy9et1hi5v13 күн бұрын
The judges understand, the contestants have to make the song their OWN, the way she sings it is her way of making it her own, and going up in the register to then come down was the right thing to do its the ups and down through a song and then either end low or high which many Pros do, but guess you wouldnt understand that. I think your critique is flawed and givign such hard critique to who we all seen now won the american idol makes you look stupid and like a fraud.
