What a joy to watch and what a tribute Mr Inman paid to Mr Randle. There is something simple but rich in the humour. Seldom meant to offend. Love it.

I wonder if James has to fulfill her Ladyship's demands four or five times after she "retired", as greedy Sir Toby always gets some extra attention. A British friend of ours to whom we introduced that sketch said it was a typical fin-de-siecle vaudeville stage thing performed at the amusement piers. The audience back in those days would normally be from the lower layers of British society and they laughed their heads off when those late-Victorian or Edwardian aristocrats were made fun of. A butler who gets drunk and has been pulled into her Ladyship's bed for decades (as soon as he had to take the place of the first friend who passed away) is a caricature of loyalty, of course.

Arthur Askey was a miserable old c**t who did everything he could to stifle any other acts or new talent. I always f*****g hated him. Short arsed little p***k.

The BBC likes to take credit for far more than they really ever did. I'll leave it up to anybody who is interested in British post-war media to do your own research.

Winifred is just fabulous, love her piano 🎹 playing. Memories of my older relatives listening and enjoying her talent. Thank you for being able to hear her today, 2024. ❤

Met a doorman outside a Ken Dodd performance in Derby, asked him what time he was expecting to finish and his response was "God knows, we're already an hour past closing!" He wasn't even angry, he'd done a Dodd show before and knew he didn't finish until the audience had got their monies worth. A true gent

My dear late mother, a girl during the second World War, often spoke of listening to 'We Three Happidrome'. It is lovely to see hear them for myself, it does bring tears to my eyes. I am so glad she could enjoy such innocent during such terrible times. I will be with one day dear mum❤

The lettering through the rock was invented in Dewsbury West Yorkshire my hometown. Blackpool (Layton)was were my grandparents retired to and I spent many happy days weekends and holidays In Blackpool during the 60s. Been 48 years in Canada and the videos I see of Blackpool now are heartbreaking the sands that used to be full of people practically empty and so many closed shops but I have my memories of the Blackpool I loved.
