Dan Young is my great great grandfather - I have only just begun looking into his work. This is fantastic.

The true British spirit during the Second World War. I was only a kid at the time. But remember listening to the wireless, and my Father singing along ,and making my brother and I laugh, in between the air raid siren and the all clear. Cries from the wardens, Put that Light Out. Course with Jerry flying overhead, see a light and drop a bomb. My Gawd, I could rabbit on and on.

This presentation is a very polished and entertaining act. The entertainers gave 200% effort. All the expressions and timing are spot - on. Well done, and thank you for posting.

No, you are correct. Nobody these days, at least on TV, appears to have any talent at all. Especially the foul mouthed, immature, "comedians".

We didn't win: this country was crippled with huge debt while the Germans were helped to rebuild by U.S. aid and most of their war-criminals were let out of prison by the mid-'50s. The former Nazis set up the Common Market (now the E.U.) that put Germany on top to the disadvantage of other member-countries.

With a little help from our 'friends'. Not by being bitter and silly like other commenters on this post - no names, no pack drill! - and not begrudging other nations their peaceful post-war success.
