Thank you for this I have been looking for a while. When it didn't turn up in either Google or YT I kinda gave up, but here it is. This was one of my fondest childhood memories of a different kind of animation . Thank you Eli for your beautiful work and bon voyage into the next world.

2024 saw the passage of two great artists (so far) who were commissioned by CTW to help bring moments of joy to my childhood and that of many other Gen-X'ers (the other one being Peter Schickele).

I’m 12 years old and I absolutely LOVE Johnny cash, mostly his songs from the early early 70s and from the late 50s and all through the 60s especially. All my friends listen to rap and pop and I hate it

1:50, what is the name of that music and whose composer is it?

A correction: Eli was born in 1942, not 1946. And yes, he died on Saturday, March 23, 2024.

So amazing how I never even knew his name until just a few days ago, but I definitely knew some of his work.

That is very nice. But now, I'm sad to say that Eli Noyes is gone. He was 81 years old at the time. 😢

It is sad. My fingers are crossed in the hopes that future film makers are inspired by his work and feel inspired to try new things in film like him!

What would country music be without Johnny Cash ❓

It’s hard to put into words how mf cool Luther Perkins is….man was a huge guitar hero of mine when I first got into country music…mostly because his lines are easy to follow 😂 sad that’s no knock… it fits the whole sound perfectly.

Luther always looked like he didn't want to be a star. For a man that was not a good guitar player, luther became a legend, and left us a sound that will be around for a long, long time.

The most amazing thing about Johnny was his appeal. Convict and Guard loved him. Criminal and cop loved him. Hillbilly and City Boy loved him. Hippie and hawk loved him. No matter what our strife, we all felt he recognized us. He could play for anyone, and that's a trait that just ain't been carried on. Nobody nowadays speaks to us all.
