Agree with you on the fitness, health, sleeping and alarm feature of smartwatches. You should consider Garmin or Huawei in terms of battery life. Another feature that you forgot is the ability to change the watch face. It’s like having a different watch.

I bought Sony WF-1000XM4 in Dec 2022 for $200 on sale and I was head over heels over the best ANC and the best sound quality I had ever heard for 6 hours a day for 8 months straight UNAWARE of the battery issues due to software update experienced by other users as reported on reddit, I updated my headphones in Aug 2023 thinking that a software update is always beneficial Software update caused my right earbud to drain 100% battery in 15 minutes🤯 I went to a nearby Sony center 8 times over the course of 4 months but they did not give me a replacement rather blamed the issues on my daily usage of headphones of 6 hours (Music is medicine to me guys especially with ANC giving me all the silence in this noisy world) I had the worst service experience ever My headphone warranty expired in Dec 2023 and now my precious headphones do not work I bought Soundcore Liberty 4NC in Dec 2023 for $100 and guess what, these have similar ANC and sound just as good Lesson learned is as follows: Sony headphones are the best BUT do NOT UPDATE your Sony headphones Nowadays, $100 will get you 90% of TWS earbuds as compared to $200-300 of TWS earbuds Save your money for Over the ear headphones (if you want better sound quality and ANC) and DO NOT update them

Sorry chaps but you can change ANC straight from the liberty 4 buds. I long press the left bud to switch from ANC off, then to Full on, then to Ambient mode. Thanks for the video.

The challenge is differentiating between want and need. Unfortunately we end up going for what we think we want than what we need and try to justify in our minds that what we want is what we need.

Totally. Got myself 2 Liberty 4 NC recently on discount. Not perfect but good enough for my use. Higher price than that I would go for headphones instead

Great take guys. Now that good/great has come down so much in price.. and they are continually getting better, makes sense to save money and spend it over a longer period. For so many reasons as you’ve said.

I also had to add that there are no flagship earbuds that are $100 from last year. The airpods pro, the pixel buds pro, the galaxy buds 2 pro, Sony XM4 or 5. None of these are $100 hence the video listing cheap Chinese Amazon stuff at under $100

Beats solo earbuds are coming out june 6th for $80 The best sounding earbud on your list was the galaxy buds fe to me. I definitely dont trust any of these chinese fompanies but they qlso sound tinny and harsh to me. I was also thinking about buying the beats solo 4 headphones. Those soind amazing and they are $150

In case of durability of Nothing Ear, I had previously used it, Mostly due to my butter fingers, I dropped it several times and lo behold the outer casing of the buds & case (😅) came out. Yes, I had dropped the case too. So if you are prone (magically) to dropping, would suggest to go Ear fun pro 3, I had dropped it once, no visible or audio issues so far… yes I had dropped the ear fun’s case too 😂

Yes, less than $100 Ear buds is more than enuf. For Audiophiles, (nothing) is enuf, even if they buy $1k ear buds, they will not be easily satisfied.

I don't prioritize sound quality. Don't get me wrong, I need it to be inoffensive. But if I want really good sound quality, I'm usually going with a proper analog set. I use wireless for convenience, active noise, cancellation, assistant functionality, etc...

Honestly, I usually just wait 6 to 12 months. The product you want is usually available for like $0.60 in the dollar at most. Liberty 3 pro or 170 I think brand new and now you can find them for $75 every other week. Galaxy buds, pixel buzz etc or now easy to find for like a hundred off MSRP.

I got the Jabra Elite Active 8 for 70€ I agree with almost everything here. But taking shower with anc listening music, changed my life ☺️🚿

After a lot of frustration and multiple battery changes I’m ready to flush my Sony xm4’s down the toilet. But the choices especially in this mid tier earbud segment are mind boggling. I’m looking at the following: 1) Sony Linkbuds S: $129 2) Samsung Galaxy Buds2 pro: $120 3) 1More evo buds: $86 What would you choose? I’m really only concerned with audio quality and ANC performance. I don’t think Sony has completely solved their battery issues even on the Linkbuds and while I currently have a Samsung Galaxy s23 phone I also use Apple products as well as devices from other manufacturers so not tied to any one ecosystem. Any other wireless earbuds you like and can recommend? I’m suffering from analysis paralysis!

it sucks a lot for me since they do look much better to me... Hook designs are very inefficient with my glasses especially when sporting and they look quite ugly to me. ive very wierd ears and in ears barley ever fit. was really excited for the bose since they look so pretty but the price is rough and sucks to see its just a bad lazy product

I'd love a samsung but the bud 2 pro started giving me ear rashes suddenly. Switched to the one plus buds 3 and kinda like the stem form and ive noticed they fall out less which is strange. Among these what would you recommend for running and weight training ?

Excellent comprehensive review. From the video I’d go for the sound core liberty, if I didn’t already have the Earfun pro 3 (£70). They for me very well and stay in better than most other earbuds I’ve had. Sound with eq with aptx phone is excellent. Case is a big big compared to the likes of the Apple air pro 2. As I don’t have a Samsung phone I wouldn’t touch the Samsung earbuds (I use Apple AirPods Pro 2 with my Android phone and get the advantages of audio quality, controls, transparency etc.

I have both buds fe and a second hand linkbuds s with the same price. Go with linkbuds s, guys. It has better sound quality, better anc and a slimmer profile.
