New Orleans native and I've not seen butter put in red beans before.

I'm happy I found this! I just watch a white lady threw them beans straight from the can and add A little water then heat and serve, And I'm like, how tasty can this be? Then I found your recipe and I'm like that's more like it! I will for sure add a little water at the end to make it less pasty, and as a Caribbean woman who lives in the US, have been to New Orleans and fell in love with gumbo and New Orleans food, I might even add a little coconut milk to mine to give it a Caribbean flair!

I'm from Louisiana and I approve of this 💪🏾. The only difference I do is add water to it to make it less of a pasty stiff look but that's preference, some people like it to be more on the stiff side, some people like theirs more of a liquidy look. All in all good vid💯

It takes 8 minutes 7 to 8 minutes to boil an egg properly if you are adding it to cold water and bringing it up to temperature. If it goes into boiling water it still doesn't take 10 to 15 minutes. :-)

This a great hack for those that don’t have time to simmer the beans for several hours. Blue Runner is the best! I actually added a can of those beans to my homemade chili and it was 🔥🔥🔥. Pro tip if cooking beans from scratch; add that can of beans to the rest of the beans towards the end, or take about half of the beans and a little bit of the liquid put it in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy, then add back to the pot of beans for a more creamy and flavorful texture.

YUP... I love & make beans from scratch; but, on most Mondays I'm beat up from working & don't want to work again for the night, so I do it like the average household in the Back of Uptown New Orleans would do it on this video... We ain't rich, nor do we have alot of time to spare for activities for no income ...Ya Dig... But done properly, one taste & you'll swear you just created a new drug...lol
@midnyteblues3 жыл бұрын
@@kreweofbelievedat4459 Absolutely. I feel ya. It’s definitely a great hack. However, most areas can’t get Blue Runner canned beans unless they order them from Amazon or something. For the past few years I’ve lived in Alaska, and thankfully I can get mahatma rice, but cant even get camelia beans :( So I’m moving back down south so thankfully I’ll be able to get the good stuff soon lol.

@@kreweofbelievedat4459 Awesome that is good to hear! As far as from a the video stand point goes just slow the speed of it down some. If not that's cool I respect that just keep doing you. As far as your cooking goes I can't suggest anything because that's how you cook. I respect that. Hell I even cooked like that at some point in my life. As far as KZfaq goes stay true to yourself as much as possible. Stay consistent, take breaks if you need to, focus on yourself and on your content. Have a purpose behind what you're doing. Also make changes to your content if needed. If there's a formula that you see is working well don't change it. People going to say what they're going to say as far as negativity goes, don't try to explain yourself because they won't even care anyways. Just tell them Thank you and keep doing you. Those are some of the main thing that I can remember at the moment. Once you follow the things I've mentioned everything else will fall in place. Wishing you the best of luck on KZfaq!
