MHGU is the best lance in the series, specifically striker lance.

I would add...it could just be that human was corrupted and kept alive by crimson fatalis armor. It may not be that he IS crimson fatalis, but fatalis (any variant) when their armor is made it states that it continues to live and influence the hunter through the armor, because fatalis has outstanding regenerative powers. Do you think this hunter just wore crimson fatalis armor for too long and is now almost completely under the control of the crimson fatalis, and kept alive by its regeneration? My other thought is that it's not the same man. The Scarlet Mystery Man might be a series of men, like Dread Pirate Roberts. When one gets too old and is ready to retire, he trains an apprentice or protégé to take over when he can no longer do it, but instead of their own individual persona they just each take up the same identity as the Scarlet Mystery Man? And who would this person be and how would they have all this info? What if the Scarlet Mystery Man is the guild director of the wide spread and powerful hunters guild? I don't think in any game we've been allowed to meet the man or woman at the very top, but all hunters work and operate inside a guild. This man being the mysterious director of the entire guild would give him the knowledge, power, and resources he needed to issue these quests and have information about the monsters not many other people have knowledge of or access to. Like...he "set up" and arena with two rajangs in it? Takes time and access to money and resources, knowledge of monsters most people think are myths, and he would have that. Plus, in speculation, he dresses almost like a guild knight, who are the most elite hunters in the guild. Do you think the guild knights, the best of the best, might be modeled after the leader of the guild? Edit: I just finished the video lmao

That or there is a supernatural element we aren’t aware of that lets a being a step above all things that is genuinely supernatural capable of genuine magic and able to know the whereabouts/predict the actions of powerful monsters and perhaps the quests are events that happen normally, like the two rajang meeting up, the gold rathian and silver rathalos meeting somewhere likely high up, and even when a Fatalis is set to migrate. But this being likes humans or at least likes giving them a chance while trying to challenge them, warning them when necessary. Using human form to not cause panic

They already said the issue with the theory, none of the monsters in the series has that magical capabilities.

I don't understand why everything (more specifically every monster) that does not look 'pretty' to people is automatically called 'ugly'... I think there are greyscales inbetween those two words. I mean do you treat human beings the same? Cause that would be quite shallow...

So far, what we know about this mysterious monster seems to be affecting the storms in the Windward Plains. However, I wonder how this it affects other locales? I have a feeling it's not yet the flagship of Wilds unless they're planning to do multiple flagship monsters.

@@Maki-GS It's possible that it's not the flagship but if there are multiple monsters that affect each map in different ways the flagship may be one of them. That would explain why they said this monster is important, if it's not the flagship.
