This method actually worked with my 7 y/o. Took about 10-15 mins. Once I stabilized him for the first couple seconds, he was riding on his own for long stretches once I let go of his seat. And to think, I was skeptical of this method at first… thank you, sir! You just saved me from having to buy a balance bike 😂

“The Pedric Way” as he calls it WORKS! I was very skeptical and thought it was just a joke but I just taught my 6 year old in less than 5 minutes. We’ve been trying so many other methods for weeks and he wasn’t even close. I was frustrated with it and so was he. Found this video, went to a parking lot, tried it and he rode his bike for the next hour only falling once. Amazing!

All jokes aside, I was trying this with my 4yo son and he still learning left from right but this helped him when I told him what foot to drop when the bike leans and told him what foot was that and started to learn other stuff too. My sister came over honking her horn and stole all attention from learning and pedaling without the trainers on the bike but oh well. He did well and I looked for this video when I was actually teaching him after seeing others. Thanks

Thank you!! I found this video 4 years ago when trying to find ways to help my 7yr old daughter learn how to ditch the training wheels. She has some impairments that make balancing and coordination a little more difficult but she was determined to take off the training wheels. I was shocked how fast she caught on to the first step of catching her balance and placing her foot down. Then with just the first try she took off. I didn’t even have to run after her. She just pedaled away. Less than 5 mins start to finish and she was on her own riding around our neighborhood. No towel, stick attached to the bike or running along side.
