I went though Lackland from 12/75 through 1/76. At the age of 22, I was older than most in my flight. Plus I had some personal friends that had already entered the AF. So, I had a big advantage by knowing what kind of mind games I'll be seeing. It all went fast and before I knew it, I was on my way to tech school in Illinois (Chanute).

In NYC, a protestor was arrested for shouting into a police officer's ear with a bullhorn. The legal criteria for assault were met because the officer received an "injury", which was ringing in his ears. I don't let anyone yell that close to me. And another concept, I didn't join the military to boss around and scare teenagers. That and recruiting sucks.

Basic has changed so much since 1980…this training wasn’t done……I was security forces with air base ground defense prelude to Phoenix Raven….SAC/USAFE 1980-1985 should of done the 15 for twenty years
