Tip for opening the doors. Stop at a truck stop and pick up a fifth wheel puller. Or make one. Just a long, stiff metal rod you can use to pull the latch and open the door from a distance. If you need two hands for opening, unlatch it and hold it closed with the rod while you move away and then let it go.

wow the garbage workers can't even pick up trash laying right next to garbage cans around here. They have people that walk on foot but I guess bending over is too much work and the trash will sit there forever.

This isnt how my city's trash company works if your trash is outside the barrel they won't take the bags they will not put bags into barrel. If your junk is sticking out of barrel they won't take it. if the barrel is over filled they won't take it

In my city, they won't even attempt to pickup a cart if the lid is a bit open from too much garbage inside. They'll especially ignore any additional bags outside the bin.

that is great operating skills. but I would love to see my cans the way I left them meaning to please put the lid back on, in weather like this the wind will carry that lid away and my can will feel with water.
