J.p. we have a medium sized box up in our oak tree in the front yard and a swarm of bee's decided to take a new home in it. Originally the box was made for the squirrels to hang out in. Should we just leave them be and let them make Honey & enjoy all the flowers on our 8 acres . ❤

I love honeybees. They are so sweet and docile. The other day, one was busy on a big purple clover flower, and I gently touched it. So soft and didnt flinch! Bumble bees arent too bad, but I m cautious. Bees, spiders and even ants are amazing creatures!!!

That hive was a lot bigger than I thought it would be. Such a lot of comb underneath those boards! Well done getting them to reorient to the box. And good to see you sharing your exploits again. Please continue to do so. Really enjoy seeing you work with the bees. I've always thought that would be an amazing job/hobby to have. If I'm ever fortunate enough to have some land someday, I'll definitely have to give it a try.

If you run across a swarm of Africanised bees, they will let you know really quick. Just waving your hand will trigger their "attack mode", with 4-5 stings in 2-3 seconds. Drop everything immediately, and run for shelter immediately. Also, an Africanized swarm will sting in their maiden flights, and continue stinging...

Noticed their is alway's "douchebag Darryl", in his videos, starting up anyhting with a motor, just to be the douche that he is...

I always look forward to your videos JP. You are a role model for other Apiarists. Unfortunately, I live in a subdivision where keeping bees is probably not a good idea. I have an inground pool as do a number of my neighbors. I have heard the bees will be attracted to the pools and become an issue. Is there any truth to this? I also have another question. Have you ever encountered a hive where the bees were too aggressive for you to handle?

That’s a first for me too. Never seen honey bees go into the ground like yellow jackets that way. I guess God save the queen was their mentality on that.
