Well, that is given, but we are not doing formulas, and it is generally used by most In this fashion and is usually the common practice in the field. Important for formula but not so much in the field

Important factor is helmet fit. Any of these helmets not fitted correctly negates the ranking.

Could you provide the sizes here? I think I can tell what most of them are just based off product photos next to a human, but I've zoomed in on the label where the size is listed and can't make it out for some of them. In particular, the second bag you show, the red one, is that a 13L? I'm interested in the sizes of the others too, though, if you can provide all of them.

I have the Rassler, good shoe.Durability isn’t great though. Just picked up the TX Canyon. Will be running those this year. Next shoe I will try is likely the Bestard Wildwater Pro.

I have been using this shoe for the past couple years for kayaking. I paddle over a 100 days a year and absolutely love the shoe for kayaking. It is super sticky rubber and have I have had no problems with fit or comfort in the kayak. It is my go to shoe for everything from day trips to expeditions on the river. Unlike the reviewers I would totally recommend this shoe for kayaking

Will this line work with the Petzl partner pulley? It comes with the original crevasse rescue kit, but not with the RAD kit.
@Pathless_
@Pathless_ 3 ай бұрын
According to the petzl website, the Partner pulley is only rated to a minimum of 7mm line. However I don’t see a reason that it wouldn’t work in an emergency or rescue scenario.

I have been rafting for and kayaking for 35 years and I have never heard anyone recommend putting a loose piece of strap or cord around one's waist. Who would do such a thing? If you put that silly $35 strap around your waist, it would be loose as well. Finally, if you don't know how big the loop is going to be, you need to improve your knot-smithing skills. You must be some sort of commercial guide or some other sort of stooge that knows little about river safety and rescue.

Helmets for any type of use all protect from glancing hits. Were it not for a helmet, there could be significant soft tissue trauma to the head from rocks/boulders tearing flesh on each impact.

Love the channel and i hate to be critical, but to make this in any way a fair test the footwear needs to be weighted equally. I expect the tx canyon is one of the heaviest which should provide more grip. But the best example is the difference between the pfd sandle and the rassler. The rassler is a lot heavier but yet has the same sole and as such, outperformed the lighter sandal.

As a guy that has had a Werner bandit for over 20 years- if your in the bow of anything and absolutely have to perform a must make stroke like a draw or die…you want the bandit. With that said it was designed as a slalom canoe paddle so duh. Its not an all around paddle at all. Fun test but we all know we are going to pick what “feels” best anyway. Thanks for the content you two!! Great stuff!!
