Omg yes my husband lives in DR and when I visit him He wants to cook dinner late and I tell him dinner in PR &USA the latest would be 6 pm I will not eat dinner pass that That’s insane

@nellie5337 I work remote but through Florida actually. I was hired in person and I tutor math online. I don't know if that was much help! I also taught in the Dominican Republic in a high school but I have my teaching certification in NY and FL

Without a car, Mariano takes each bottle, 2 by 2, on the motorcycle to be filled. We are so thankful we got to borrow a car from our amazing friend who was out of the country for a while ❤

@@Goldhammer2023 awww he learned by reading a book and then talked to every American he could find 😂 we also only speak English with each other which has helped him learn so much (while my Spanish suffers). But it's okay 😂

@@Goldhammer2023 we paid a woman who used to be a lawyer and is now a teacher. She is only in San Pedro but I think it was $100 - 200. I cannot remember exactly

The carnival rides came to San Pedro de Macoris 😂 to be fair, the ride went up and down at least 20 times. But the kid sitting across from us was okay in the end. I don't know about Mariano though...

@@hubbardbrowniii4450 Thank you for watching! I only know of one school that has English in San Pedro. Las Palmas Christian School is a bilingual school Pre-K to 12th grade. They require a college degree to teach there and I think they have one high school position available for next school year.

@@hubbardbrowniii4450 No, I don't know any schools that teach English to adults in San Pedro. It's a pretty small city compared to Santo Domingo. I would look into Santo Domingo because a lot of people speak English there and it's pretty big. I have also heard of English schools in Santiago but I don't know if they are for adults.

Congratulations on living in DR on such a tight budget. Most ppl would just stay in the US surviving and being miserable. There are so many free things to do in DR. The beaches are free, rivers, and parks. Hopefully your income increases and you can enjoy life more.
