Why is the first batch thinner? 😀
@PacificMoldDesign
@PacificMoldDesign 7 ай бұрын
We do this when molds have a lot of detail or spaces that could create pockets of air. Load up with a thinner mix of material and slush around to coat the walls of the mold. We then backfill with a thicker mix to speed up the casting process.

Thanks! We used the 3-2-1 mix method. That’s 3parts rock, 2parts sand and 1part portland cement. You can use bagged concrete for a consistent mix.
